All these people complaining about wait times are complaining in the wrong place. Do you know what the term 'Understaffed' means? You want to have go at someone look to the people who pay them - the government. They are not getting enough funding, plain and simple. And injuries are seen based on importance - not by when you turn up. That's why they can't estimate how long it will be.

I have tested positive for Covid 2 days ago. My BP levels was high and I had kept fainting. I admitted to emergency care and I had 1 glass of water with the pills they gave and other than that nothing. I'm hugry and dehydrated and have asked for food or water and no response. As I have covid I don't want to move around and spread it to others. It was not my choice to be here, but I had to. Being dehydrated and not eating anything through out the day only makes my condition worse. Couple of nurses were Soo rude when I asked for water. I know you have shortage in staff and I completely respect front line workers. Please treat us with kindness, I did not ask to be sick.

Need to work on cutting down waiting time for patients doesn’t matter how sick someone is no one comes to ED for no reason and then you are forced to wait for hours maybe 6-10 hours its a joke to the medical serviceI spent 5 hours waiting for kid to be checked up by doctor ended up leaving because there was long wait maybe another 3-4 hours very disappointing of wellington ED

Doctors are competent and work hard. Friendly receptionists, despite the regular presence of hardworking cleaners the waiting room of this ward is not the cleanest..The waits, depending on priority, could last up to 12 hours, vending machine have expensive products, bathrooms not exactly clean.I realize that there are many critical issues and the solutions require study and time, I hope they can find that as soon as possible

Had a delightful experience at ‘Wellington Hospital Emergency’. A warm welcome was given by the triage nurse (Suzie), of whom I later found out was a proud member of the LGBT community and good on her!So thankful Suzie is employed by Wellington hospital and what a wonderful person she is.I thoroughly recommend the Emergency Room at Wellington hospital.

Ridiculous wait times, aware they’re busy but been here over 7 hours been seen once 5 hours ago. Not offered any painkillers pre given any idea of wait times. Appalling service both reception and nurses - should be ASHAMED

Don't come here unless you're actively dying. Instead go to the after hours urgent care clinic, pay $50 and get seen there or a referral to expedite through public care.Triage is ruthless enough that extreme back pain and a sudden inability to walk due to said pain is considered not urgent". It's really hard to flag down a nurse for medication during your long

Dr Austen was fantastic. He made my horrible day a bit brighter, he was patient and didn’t feel like he was rushing to get me out the door. He listened and he cared, very much appreciated.

My sister came in for support on the 2nd of August with a medical history of mental health. It was different this time, she was so desperate that she took herself in to get help as a last resort. She had tried everything to support herself and get help prior. She was terrified to admit herself but she tried as her last hope. They told her there was nothing they could do but make an appointment for over a week later. She took her life 5 days later. Only 12 days before her 36th birthday. Please step up staff and do what you can to inform the government that this isn't good enough. I know my big sister won't be the only one.

Begging you guys to start getting the useless higher ups to put in hospital grade ventilation and air purification system. This is REDICULOUS. We are still in the middle of a pandemic. Also the staff need to strike more frequently legal or no legal. It's not fair they do so much work and both labour and national have deliberately allowed our healthcare system go to absolute hell. This is the final straw before they make it go full private and thousands of us (the poor and disabled) will die because of lack of access.
