I am a rent a chair stylist at Métier. From the moment I stepped into the beautiful salon space I knew this the workplace for me! Tanita, founder of Métier is warm, welcoming and so encouraging of what we freelancers do. The salon itself is inviting, chic and spacious. My clients love visiting me here and really enjoy the extra level of service offered by Tanita’s presence. I highly recommend making the move to Métier to anyone who’s wanting to embrace the journey of working for themselves in a supportive environment. I cannot speak highly enough of the beautiful salon or Tanita.

Wow.. where do i start with this place! The whole concept of beauty freelanced spaces is one you won't find often in this country, but the owner has managed to take an idea & has created such a beautiful & well-thought out space that i would be happy to bring clients into where they feel warm, welcomed, with added touches of luxury to make the experience all the more enjoyable for them. Metier is such a wonderful concept, offering hair dresses and beauty professionals the opportunity to run their own business from a high end establishment. I love the colours, plants and decor used to stye the salon. Tanita the fonder was so helpful and I will certainly be back!

Metier is a one of a kind in Auckland and such an amazing concept. I had the pleasure of renting in this space and its somewhere I wish it was about sooner. The owner is so incredible and makes you feel so comfortable and just at home. She also welcomed all my clients and they all commented on how they felt so looked after not to mention the array of snacks and beverages on offer.At metier its great that it is so flexible with options of full days and half days. I also loved the beautiful decor and being in such a modern environment.The owner makes the whole experience of starting a business and going out on your own so seamless and has great guidance.Renting at Metier also includes wifi, use of the kitchen, coffee wine and snacks, also private lockers with keys. There is even a booking system that you can use!Highly recommend for anyone wanting to be their own boss in the hair, make up or barbering industry.

As a freelance makeup artist I book a chair most weeks at Metier Space and love it! It's a beautiful, clean open space which my clients love! It's a calm and friendly working environment and I can't recommend this enough to all my fellow freelancers in Auckland.

The Métier space radiates warmth from the minute you walk in – from the beautiful decor to the natural lighting and creamy palette, to the way Tanita always greets you with a big smile… it’s such a lovely place to get your hair or makeup done. This is the beautiful salon you know, but with more heart and soul, and without any of the pretentiousness.

As a professional makeup artist, I am proud to use Metier as my studio. It is a professional, stylish and spacious place to work from - with all the ammenities I could possibly need, PLUS plenty of extras. It is an easy and functional concept, I simply have to book a chair ahead of when I need to use it. Very competitive pricing, it's a no brainer for freelance makeup artists to be using this space! I can't see myself ever wanting or needing to take on the stress of having my own studio whilst Metier exists, it is perfect in every way and I look forward to each time I get to work in there. The owner is incredibly personable and friendly, from day one I felt like part of a team and family of professionals. I have recommended Metier Space to so many people already and I will continue to sing their praises.
