About the Business
Whakatane Centre | In 2014 SPCA's Whakatane Centre celebrated its 60th anniversary. Our new purpose built building was opened in 2003, thanks to strong support from our local community. This facility enables us to help more than 750 animals each year.

Wonder cheerful caring, knowledgeable. Felt comfortable, everything clean happy animals pleasant surroundings. Would be more than satisfied if left my animals in their care.

Brilliant people ...awesome place.We have just become proud mum and dad to three ginger boys...The ginger boy with the white patch on his nose we named Einstein cos hes soooo smart...the two looks likes one is Escoffier.. scoffs for short because all he does is eat...and the other is Socrates ...because like the philosopher he doesn't seem to know much....just follows his brother...Tonight it was fresh chicken chopped small....yesterday prime beef mince as well as dries and cat milk for a treat....getting used to the crazy house lol

Refused to take unneutered stray that's roaming around my house with other cats. Extremely unhelpful, couldn't give any other advice than to spray a sweet affectionate kitten with a hose to make him go away. So he can live out his days making more strays. Pathetic service.
