Amazing experience with Jonathan. He set us up with cool routes and a bunch of different ideas for our day. Got us out and biking quickly and he took the time to chat about our experience after our ride. When you get off the ferry walk right past everyone else and go to the hut in the parking lot to the right and you’ll be set for a great day!

Excellent bike experience here. I opted for the more active and healthier option rather than an E Bike so I could earn my Fish n Chips that evening. Also, it’s much cheaper. I definitely recommend exploring Waiheke this way if you’re of decent fitness. I really enjoyed the mountain biking park on the island and the bike held up perfectly. Customer service was top notch as well.

Waiheke Bike Hire is just a 5 minutes walk after we got off the ferry from Auckland, it's a small hut located next to the car park, you won't miss it.Jonathan is super friendly guy to greet us and explained us where to go and what to see around Waiheke Island even we were just checking out the price, he gave us an overall idea where to go and how to go around the island with the expected time. The bike rental for the whole day is very reasonable, NZD40 and you can explore the entire island at your own pace, stopping at Art Galleries, Beaches, Restaurants, Cafes, Wineries and beautiful photo spots (there are many). After the warm welcome and introduction that were given by Jonathan, it's impossible we said no to rent the bike from him.He was very nice to give us two beautiful bikes and ensured the conditions were great, a helmet and a map of Waiheke Island were also included in the price and also a lock.My friend and I had a wonderful time cyling around the island exploring the beauty of it. We really fell in love with this tranquil and charming island. Jonathan was definitely our first impression of Waiheke Island which was so warm and welcoming and the wonderful memory we have had will definitely last forever.We highly recommend you renting a bike from Waiheke Bike Hire, Jonathan will be there to help you with whatever questions you have for the island. Budget Friendly, Excellent Customer Service, great quality mountain bikes. I had the pleasure of having multiple conversations with Jonathan, the owner. He is always trying to learn new things and he will set anyone up for a top tier experience. I did the ride as a solo and these are some of the photos I got.

Super friendly owner and very informative routes were suggested! We had a great day!Bikes were in good condition, lock and helmets were provided. We visited vineyard and got around to Palm beach with the bike without issue! Definitely will recommend this shop for anyone planning to bike on Waiheke island.

We had a great day trip to Waiheke island riding around on the bikes. It’s right by the ferry and if you know how to ride a bike then it’s super easy and fast to rent them for the day :) Jonathan was very helpful, gave us a bunch of recommendations and tips for our visit and even some for the rest of our trip in New Zealand. Definitely the best way to get around and enjoy the island!!

Highly recommend this bike rental. Jonathan took really good care of us. We rented mountain bikes - we’re regular riders back home - and really enjoyed riding Waiheke for the day. There are pretty tough climbs, if you’re not used to regular riding definitely get an eBike.
