Obsidian Wines - Waiheke Island
This was our first wine stop of the day and they set the bar high. Great friendly service, good knowledge of the wines and island. We arrived on ebikes and there is plenty of places to park. A few friendly dogs wondering about. A smaller winery but one I would recommend adding to any wine tour.

Not as fancy looking as the other vineyards in the area but the wines speak for themselves and are possibly the best you can get on the island. Very knowledgeable and friendly host for the tastings. Cellar door prices are very reasonable for the quality of wine too.

Used to come to Obsidian, just turned up at 16:20 and they refused to sit us for a wine tasting because 40 minutes isn't long enough for a tasting". If this is the case then you need to post this time on your website. Thought the attitude was terrible. 6 years of returning each visit

The wines in the tasting were unique and quite good. Great variety and a real taste of the region. Knowledgeable and personable tasting of great wines, with native birds singing around us. Of the wineries we visited on Waiheke, one I'll regret not having easy access to.

The best wine on Waiheke island!In the wine tasting you get 4 glasses of wine for the price of 15nzd. The woman also poured decent amounts of wine in the glasses, compared to other wineries where we had wine tasting.The winery is cute and has a cosy outdoor terrace. The woman serving us the wine was knowledgable and very good at her job!

Stopped by because our rental car spot recommended this winery and we are SO glad we did. It was easily our favorite spot on Waiheke! The staff was so friendly and actually educated us on the wine we were drinking. Great covered outdoor patio and even made a little puppy friend! The wine was excellent too.
