Countdown Kaiapoi

I'm hoping the new countdown will be a lot better than this one, this countdown has gone down hill a bit in the last year

Very easy to park, close proximity to Store..great variety of food with detailed vege section...friendly helpful staff..a relaxed break from the city surprising how close Kaiapoi is to town with excellent shopping and numerous coffee shops with great homemade options

Good local supermarket. Same as most others. Plenty of parking nearby. Pleasant helpful staff

Went to your store today and witnessed your security verbally attack a lady over taking one of the free bananas. I understand they are for kids but the way he degraded this lady was so shocking I just wanted to hug her. Maybe she was just hungry. Times are really tough and you guys would just throw them away anyway

It's a countdown, has what you need. A few of the self checkout staff are rude and appear to be very unhappy in their jobs. Politely asked one of the ladies for some help and she rolled her eyes and shouted across the store to another staff member I can't even get a break for 5 minutes" and then proceeded to walk over acting annoyed. It's your job woman. A simple hello or smile wouldn't hurt

Ordered online we received mouldy burger buns, mouldy hotdog buns. That did suck as we were super sick with covid. Couldn’t be bothered dealing with it. It is what it is.ButLast time me and my daughter went in the young girl on the check out had such a bad attitude and was giving my daughter a death stare. My daughter didn’t understand at all but also said that lady was giving her a death stare so she knew but didn’t understand why. Obviously us parents have to keep cool calm and collective to be a good role model and try explain that maybe she was just having a terrible day. Trying to bite our lips. The rest of staff have been pretty great, we have been coming here for a while now. But in all seriousness definitely look into whom you hire and monitor their work attitude better. What kind of teenage girl stares down an 11 year old happy child & has the most negative sour attitude like a big child throwing a tantrum that they have to work. Bring rough with their groceries and not bagging anything. We had to sit there and bag all that stuff then and there with her negative, angry, and rudeness.I didn’t care too much about the buns, but bring rude, angry and giving kids death stares is not ok.

I'm new to NZ shopping so had to ask lots of questions. Staff got me all sorted very quickly.Clean and tidy supermarket, very friendly staff.

The worst effing staff. Just had a staff member yell at an older lady for not using her card correctly. The ladies in there are horrible, miserable and extremely nasty to everyone. Had to borrow a phone one night and just needed an ounce of compassion from them and they were so angry at me for even inconveniencing them. Get a life ladies.

Got everything I need there.. Good specials and reduced price articles... Happy to shop there
