What a shame, honestly didn’t taste a single grain of salt in this bowl of seafood laksa, unbelievable! Not sure if it’s a mistake or on purpose, so bland and flavorless. The only thing that stops it from getting a lone star is the fact that the the noodle, shrimp, and eggs are actually nicely cooked, and I could taste decent curry and spices, but still, this is borderline inedible. Too bad since it could have been a great bowl of laksa.

Malaysia Delights Riverside Kitchen
I had the seafood laksa from this cool little Malaysian store. Piping hot with prawns, egg , fish balls , tofu and noodles in a tasty creamy laksa sauce. The perfect comfort food for a chilly June Friday afternoon at the trendy riverside market. Thoroughly enjoyed. I’lll be back next time.

Lovely food, just went there for a quick meal and it was the most tasty and delicious Malaysian food I've ever had, probably the most authentic Malaysian food in Christchurch.Definitely recommend the Laksa and the Penang Fried noodle, the laksa was creamy and spicy just the way I like it. Same with the Fried noodles.Was going to try their dumplings, but I was full from the both meals...Will be back for more!

I am Malaysian and I will never recommend this place. The char kuey teow and fried rice was just terrible. Seemed like ingredients were just tossed into a wok with soy sauce and nothing else. Really, just avoid the disappointment.

quick spot in a modern food hall with a range of options. the Laksa was decent. no need to go out of your way to stop Here, but a reasonable option if you are at Riverside anyway. the price is right.

This was the worst beef rendang I've ever had and I've had plenty. A steak n cheese pie would have more flavour than this dish. Was like stewed beef chunks, nothing like real Malaysian rendang. Please get some help to improve this recipe.

Not great food. Penang noodles and laksa were both flavourless. Penang noodles were unnecessarily oily (yet still no flavour…) Laksa broth tasted like bland watery curry soup and laksa noodles were weird textured vermicelli.

17/4/2022 - Most authentic Malaysian meal I've had in NZ. This Char Kuey Teow is as authentic as it gets. Smoky, smooth and springy, with crisp juicy textures. Amazing!5/4/2021 - It's not easy to recreate the same authentic flavours, but this is close. Great spice and nice portion. Will come back again.

Unfortunately, I had nothing positive to say about the chicken laksa other than it was hot and the noodles well cooked. The soup was bland and the chicken tasted old. The boiled egg was overcooked for laksa. Looks better than it tasted. I hope you guys can improve on the flavour. The soup was simply just too bland and watery.
