Kauri Vault

We called in on Karin and Patti when we were over in NZ doing a bit of touring and visiting friends. The next hour or so flew by as we learnt all about their work, techniques and got to look at and touch some of their amazing pieces. You cannot help but be in awe of what they achieve with ancient swamp Kauri and other native NZ woods - true craftsmenship or in this case craftswomen ship!Needless to say we had to buy a desk and a work of art and we can't wait for them both to be in their final home - in the French Alps. These two ladies are very special and what they do is ... well go and see for yourself - you won't be disappointed (but best to ring them and make an appointment as we were very lucky to catch them just as they were leaving and they were very kind to give us so much of their time when they should have been enjoying a beer!
