Rowers practice in the lagoon, while young people and families relax in the adjacent meadows. Restaurants invite you to linger. The lagoon is connected to Wellington Harbor by a narrow channel. .

Pretty lagoon especially at night, beside The Boat House. It is often used by rowers for practice or for racing during the day and is popular at night too especially when events are showcased nearby, such as music festivals, or the recent lantern festival, or when fireworks are held to celebrate events such as New Year's Eve, or Chinese New Year's Day.

This places is in the heart of the capital city of wellington and its a good walk from the waterfront and courtaney Place.It has some amazing events organised especially in the new years eve we had a band, lights, boogie music and fireworks lit.Rovers practice in the lagoon. Friends and Family get together here and relax with good sea view and a lot of fresh air.

Excellent spot for escaping the office and feeding the birds at lunchtime. I wish people would stop using it s a rubbish dump though; taken out items such as traffic cones and car tyres.
