Dupont Motels

Absolutely disgusting. I would give this motel no stars if possible. The room smelt musty, Was no kettle to make a hot drink, had to go into reception to request one, a pot with mould in it and unclean in kitchen cupboard. A telephone for decoration, wasn't even connected. Was not able to get any wifi connection, having to use my data and hotspot.The smell was terrible.

cancelled my reservation due to me catching covid and cant get across the cook strait. only delayed by hours and hoping penalty be waived. not given consideration! greedy owner. now i checked all the reviews from Dupont EXECUTIVE Hotel.....i think I will suggest my online agent to stop promoting this establishment for having such a bad reviews.AVOID at all cost! There is no option for negative star rating....they deserve to get negative 5 stars.

I booked in a staff member from my work. This was her experience...I arrived at the Dupont and was given a room that had not been cleaned properly, I had to ask for new sheets out of fear they hadn't cleaned those either. The pillow protector was very stained when I changed the pillow case.On arrival, I rang the bell at reception and waited 10 mins for an answer, the man telling me the bell must be broken. Once i found my room the kitchen bin was full of other people's rubbish, the light flickered like I was in a disco, the kitchen table had not been wiped and there were stains on the toilet seat.Yes they assisted where they could but it didn't make for an enjoyable start to the stay.Given what I have encountered tonight I wouldn't be recommending them for anyone else to stay.I understand this motel has been used for emergency housing and from what others have said it is sadly not as good as it previously was.

We booked through the motel as were needing to arrive at 10.30pm from Rotorua. We quoted Agodas price of $164 and they said $169 so we said yes.The place stunk of too much deoderiser, moths everywhere due to the light left on in the bathroom and window open, so slept with moths flying around.The shower the next morning had to be hand held due to the rod that holds it had a missing clip.When I emailed and complained about the state of the room they said I can't get any refund back as needed to raise the issues on arrival. We checked in at 10.30 to a key in a lock box... no one was around.Then i go into my credit card account and they charged me $182.40.... what the heck!!!We went back to complain in person today and he quoted me a different price plus surcharge. I said you can't do that and showed them the price on Agoda.Now he says he can't refund as he's not the boss. We said to talk to the boss and refund immediately as they can't take more than what they quoted.We are going to the Commerce Commission if they don't reply or refund.Terrible place to stay. Never again.

Very average. Rooms were tidy, Well stocked with teas, and coffees. Could do with better drainage in the bathroom and more comfortable beds. Was disappointed and disturbed to overhear an abusive situation between a man and a woman late at night, which kept us up all night. Other weird noises, sounding like someone was scrubbing something in the middle of the night. Guessing that this is not a good location at all.

The negative comments are 100% accurate. Any positive reviews must be written by the owners, their friends/family or people paid to write positive reviews. The place is a complete dump and needs to remodeled with a bulldozer. Do not stay here!

Fantastic! Room was super nice, tidy, and clean. Area quiet and reception was so considerate and helpful as I called late in evening needing a room. Arriving exhausted after full day drive, just what I needed to relax and rest.

Daughter didn’t stay as it was full of patched gang members drinking and making a lot of noise. She was too scared to get out of her car. I think it’s one of these motels that gets paid to house the homeless. I expect a full refund.

Not suitable to live in their settlers motor lodge. Actually we asked Manager for Dupont motel, but he refers us a room in settlers motor lodge. Cleanliness in this lodge was not good. Someones hairs were there in towels and had also very bad experience in car parking onsite. Someone living in other room in that lodge, spilled mayonnaise sauce on all over our brand new car (roofs, tyres, bonnet, windscreen, wipers). Manager helped us to wash that sauce from car just with water but it was not worth as sauce had stickiness and it was not taken out easily by washing it manually. Even Manager didn’t say that he will pay us few dollars for car washing. They didn’t take it seriously, so we didn’t recommend anyone to live there in these motels.
