The Mussel Pot Restaurant
We booked and on arrival we're greeted with a smile from all the staff on the floor given a choice of table. The staff were attentive kind and friendly, the food portions perfectly sized and salad the best I've had in a long time. The length of time it took to recieve our meal definitely more than acceptable. We are firm believers in treat everyone with kindness and staff returned that threefold. Walk in with a smile. And the service is more than 5 stars. Highly recommend to others.

Came here with a friend for a warm dinner after the a cold day, and was met by friendly staff. The restaurant is in a great location right in the centre of town near the marinaMy friend enjoyed the green mussels in garlic sauce and the Alfredo pasta. I had a veggie pizza that wasn’t too bad

A very nice restaurant. From the outside, it is not obvious at first glance how high the quality of the food on offer is. I had some delicious green shell mussels with homemade bread. A truly exquisite meal. The restaurant staff are very friendly. It is worth a diversion just for this restaurant, the prices are commensurate with the quality.

A very special seafood restaurant. We were a group of 11 , came from different parts of the world, visited NZ in March 2023,, We had tried many seafood restaurants along our way, this one is one of the best. Their Mussel is so very good, you have to try their Mussel Platter , cooked in different ways. We sat outside at the patio, nice setting, especially when you were surrounded by the grapes , red grapes, green grapes, purple grapes......a very happy experience. Staff are friendly . Hope to visit them again in our next visit to NZ. Like their postcard, you can see the big pot of Mussel is on the roof top.

Oh my goodness, we were passing my so many time but never tried it. I think it will become our must stop on the way to Nelson. The mussels are yum! And it’s great that you’ve got all sorts of them (different sources etc) served on a large plate. Ideal for two. Kids enjoyed kids menu as well.

Stopped by after a long hike and ate a lot! Great sharing platter and sauce options. Server and kitchen staff were super accomodating for a food intolerance. Servers were so nice and friendly despite being a packed restaurant. Definitely will return and recommend!

This quaint wee restaurant lives up to its expectations, the food was sensational. We purchased the platter for two, which gave us a taste of all the options.The steamed mussels were our favorite, however we really enjoyed the garlic fried mussels and the chowder.The service was good, if we were to critique anything, we felt that they came to our table a little too often. Aside from that, outstanding atmosphere, food and service.
