Whakarongotai Marae
A gathering of whanau as we lay our Papa to rest. The walk with our Papa as we cross the train tracks to the urupa. A moment in time where the traffic stopped in homage to this honored gathering. The whenua of our ancestors welcome our Papa as he joins the ancient ones resting. What an amazing experience to witness the tangi formalities on his home marae. We bow our heads to our Parata whanau. Sleep our precious Papa Kim, sleep. Alofa, alofa, always your Rongo whanau xxxx
