Bay Of Islands Snorkelling Ltd

After living in the Bay of Islands for 20 years, being on the water a lot, sailing and diving, and snorkeling - this tour was outstanding. Tammy and Scott showed us the most spectacular sea life, we dropped anchor on the reef, the fishlife, enjoying the interaction with the staff and us whilst in the water, so we had an amazing interactive experience with them. The boat itself is awesome - very comfortable, with all the amenities you need, it is set up perfectly for its use - easy access into the water and from the water back onto the boat, no clambering needed with the submersible swim platform easy to use. The equipment is in great condition - wetsuits and snorkel, mask, and fins, Scott and Tammy were amazing professional hosts, sharing information and personal titbits, drawing on their many years working in the tourism industry on the water in the Bay of Islands! It really was a great touch to have the hot shower after our snorkelling tour and hot soup is just perfect! The boat and all the equipment is in pristine condition! I highly recommend this tour and will be going again and will take friends and family with me! Thanks, Tammy and Scott you really have a fabulous product - I rate it best in the Bay.

I was lucky enough to join Tammy and Scott on a late season snorkelling trip aboard their well appointed boat out to Maunganui Bay in the beautiful Bay of Islands. The passion and excitment that they have for snorkelling in this unique, protected spot is contagious. They go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and get to see and enjoy all the special highlights, like the huge snapper and enormous crayfish. Fantastic day, I would highly recommend this trip to everyone.

We highly recommend this tour. Tammy was amazing with her enthusiasm and knowledge. We loved how we got to hand feed the fish using sea urchins, which was a great win win as the fish get some food and a pest is taken out of the area. The personalised service is something that you just can’t get with one of the big operators. This was the first time in my life that I have been snorkelling so therefore was a little nervous. Tammy was so patient & knowledgeable which put me at ease straight away. I had the most amazing time, seeing & feeding the fish was a wonderful experience & now I’m hooked. Thanks Tammy & Scott can’t wait to come out with you again.

What an awesome day with our three adult children. It was like swimming in an aquarium but the fish are wild and free. Tammy and Scott were exceptional hosts and made our day a wonderful experience. They are both so relaxed and friendly and genuinely great people. My family and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this if you are visiting the beautiful Bay of Islands :)

While these guys are a super friendly relaxed crew, they are really professional and obviously know the Bay of Islands area inside out!From playing with Tammy's 'sea puppies' to seeing the crayfish nurseries that Scott know just where to find - this trip is a fantastic experience that caters to both people new to snorkelling and those who have more free diving experience due to the way it is structured. Tammy and Scott seem to just know what to point out and when top let you explore! The boat is super comfy - the 'water platform' for getting in and out of the water is a bit of a treat - as is the hot shower and soup after your dive!Definitely a 'must do' if you're visiting he Bay of Islands, the Rahui in the area you dive has meant the environment is thriving and this is just the way to see it all!

We met Tammy and Scott at the pier in Paihia and there were only two other guests on board their beautiful boat. It was the start of a wonderful day on the water. We stopped on the way to two beautiful snorkling sites to get a history lesson about the islands. I somehow squeezed into the full wetsuit (never wore one before!) And went into the water after some safety precautions were discussed. They were great spots and both Scott and Tammy were excellent snorkelers and made sure we were safe. It is something I will always remember, there were a lot of fish and we were helping to get rid of some of the sea urchins that could destroy the reefs. Tammy and Scott are a very interesting and engaging couple. They took the time to answer all of our questions.Thanks for a wonderful day.Susan and Nick

What an amazing experience. Tammy and Scott are incredible hosts, they looked after us like old friends and showed us some incredible sights in the bay. The experience feeding the fish on sea urchins is one that we will never forget. Thank you so much! We cannot recommend this experience enough!!

We had an absolutely wonderful day out on the water with Tammy and Scott. Both of them are very knowledgeable and fantastic guides - they even had extra gear available, such as diving belts for those who wanted to dive down a bit!The fish are abundant, friendly, and all have their own personalities! We cannot recommend them enough! A must do activity in the Bay of Islands for sure.

Had an amazing day!! The snorkelling was beautiful and the boat ride was lovely. Scott and Tammy were so lovely and full of amazing local knowledge! Best snorkelling in New Zealand
