West Coast Tree Top - Tree Top Walk | Zipline Tour | Best Places To Visit Hokitika

Mid January at 9am and we beat the crowds. Allowed for a relaxing meander high amongst the ancient native trees. Very good facilities. The trees and views are amazing. Highly recommend.

This is so cool and incredible value for money. We did it in light drizzle and still exceeded expectations. There are two parts that will test your love for heights but they are optional. It is stunning and the views phenomenal - out, across and ... down. Even my teen boys were impressed !! Ps. The cafe is excellent for coffee, chips and cabinet treats.

We visited whilst in the area on our road trip. It made a great mid afternoon stop off - staff were excellent, with the whole facility being high quality. Views and tree top walkways were fabulous.

The #zipline was fantastic I did this with my daughters 11 and 9 and they wanted to do it again. All the staff were fantastic and you can tell they love it as much as we did. Do yourself a favour if you are in the area, it is a must for kids of all ages.

What an exhilarating experience! Took my 6yr old with me and she loved it. We went towards the end of the day and were the only ones walking. Definitely good for me - I think, had there been more people, the structures would have been more shaky.

This is well worth visiting and gives you a magical experience of being high up in the tree tops. The bird life seen and birdsong heard was incredible. I currently have some issues walking and managed to walk to the beginning of the treetop walk from the entrance and around the wonderfully constructed metal loop. However, I was certainly grateful for the ride back after completing my loop which was easily arranged.

Little bit of a climb up to the start for old folk but once on the walk very easy going. Great views of the West Coast and the Southern Alps. a totally different perspective of the forest and nice to look over the lake. For the dare devils you can climb the tower and take the flying fox back. Staff only friendly and helpful so a great experience and well worth while.

Awesome place and we'll worth the visit. The views are beautifull and it is an informative way to learn about the area and it's history. Our son also did the zipline which he really enjoyed. Well stocked shop for souvenirs and other interesting items. Cafe is great as well and the staff are friendly.

Such an amazing experience through the beautiful west coast rainforest treetops! It was not only an enjoyable adventure but at the same time a thrilling experience!West Coast Treetop Walk is a highly recommended excursion through the 20 meters high and over 450 meters long steel platform. Visitors will be surrounded by relaxing and spectacular views during the visit.The 40 meters high Hokitika tower is the highlight of the walk but it is not for everyone because the stairs are very narrow and you could feel the strong wind and vibrations as you climb.There is also a cafe at the entrance of the walk and visitors can enjoy some food before exploring the tree top!
