Absolutely terrible stay. Rude staff. Very rigid. Whānau sign on the wall buy they do not support whānau. Came down for a funeral and expected a welcoming stay. That it was not. Do not recommend. Will not be recommending to my colleagues or whānau.

Ulster Lodge Motel
A lovely motel. Close to a Pak n Save supermarket, and an easy walk into city centre. We were there for only one night, so the studio unit was fine. There are also units with separate bedrooms and full cooking facilities. A high standard of cleanliness, and very comfortable.

Stayed 3 nites to attend a wedding. Had lovely unit. Friendly staff. Rooms serviced each day. All in all a great stay. Shop next door very handy. In walking distance to a great bar and restaurant. Will use again when in same area.

Rooms need some maintenance. Noisy area with lots of social housing surrounding the area. Fights swearing etc.

Lovely and clean and comfortable, shower pressure is fantastic. The very kind gentleman / manager at the reception was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this motel. A huge thank you for a pleasant stay

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was lovely and clean. Would highly recommend this Motel. Would go there again if I'm in Hamilton.

Ulster Lodge Motel
The receptionist was one of the rudest people I have encountered in a long while. I called to ask why my online booking had cancelled and trying to get an explanation was like I'd just asked him to climb Mt Everest. Fortunately I then changed the booking to a next door motel whose courtesy has won me over. If you don't like your job, give it to someone who does!

Ulster Lodge Motel
We suddenly needed accommodation due to a family emergency and Narinder made a special effort to make space for us. He and Mavis were very sympathetic to our situation and did everything they could to help us. Plus the unit we had was spectacularly clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Bless them!

Ulster Lodge Motel
Clean room, friendly service, convenient location as we have a supermarket, Subway and St Pierre’s Sushi in 5min walk. Housekeeping ladies are super nice and polite!Street noise can be a bit of nuisance, but it’s not something they can control. The neighbourhood is a bit ragged (again, not their fault) so avoid walking at night even a short distance!
