Waiopaoa Hut
We walked the Waikaremoana track in September with a group of 12 and this hut was a pleasant surprise for night 2 of our walk. The fireplace is in the centre of the kitchen area and warms the whole hut very well. There are 2 bunk areas with mattresses and the lake is right on the doorstep.There was a small amount of firewood when we arrived, a clean kitchen, and tables and chairs to play cards around in the evening.Definitely a step up from Panekire Hut!
