Right by the lake. Plenty of space to park your campervan. Some trees to provide shade. Two smelly toilets.

Very open & flat grassed area which is vast in area & has two long drop toilets. The lake however is very shallow & it can get windy as it comes off the Tararua ranges.You can stay using either a tent, motorhome, caravan or what ever. There are no restrictions except for the use of motorbikes, quads that people have been told off for driving at high speeds, endangering campers.

Loved this spot!!! Just perfect, flat areas , toilet , huge lake and swans etc, and some good walks to, sunsets and sunrises stunning..

Not to bad. This place has 2 long drop toilets. Also rubbish bins. No water. Plenty of ground to camp. Very peaceful. Lovely scenic views.

Great place for meditation and eating nomad style. Although Lake Wairarapa doesn't have a big fanbase I do like looking at the clouds rolling above it while I recollect my thoughts. Further, I think the lake is very photogenic despite its water quality.

The Wairarapa Moana could be a total tourist trap for Featherston and beautiful space for the community but it's poorly maintained which is such a shame. The metal road needs to be regraded pronto and potential places to explore are lost to overgrown weeds. Can be windy, but not all the time. Beautiful sunsets. It would be great to see this space better cared for.

A ton of space to park. I was there with 3 other vehicles. Did not use the long drop toilets because of the other reviews of how gross they were. Also no running water so being self contained is a must here! Good for one night, very quiet area. Sunrise and sunset were amazing! Saw people fishing on the other side in the morning
