Alistair and his wife Catriona are so welcoming. It's like being in their living room. Between them they have an abundance of knowledge in all things musical. A fave stop for all kiwi and overseas musicians when visiting Wellington. They are a Wgtn icon!

A fantastic music shop and great customer service. Alastair located a vintage banjo for me and has been incredibly helpful with tips and tricks on how to keep the in tip top condition... if you are looking for a stringed instruments, this is the place to go.

Went in for piano books but also asked for advice on buying a violin for a five-year-old. Excellent help, particularly around the refurbished violin scheme they do. We're now on the third violin for our youngster. Such a great scheme! I'd recommend Alistair's every time!

Went to Alistairs want a violin but not knowing anything about them. Alistair was so lovely talking us through what makes a good violin and what to look out for. He was so wonderful playing for us and showing us the different sounds. It made me feel at ease when buying a violin. I ended up buying one on the spot. Would highly recommend!!

A husband and wife duo that have such a warm presence. The instruments caught my eye as I walked past this little gem of a music shop. Catriona encouraged us to strum any instrument and every instrument in the shop. I would just like to thank her for sharing her philosophical way in thinking about music. It will make beginners and experts feel goosebumps and passion spark all at the same time. Thank you again for taking the time to teach and share knowledge, share a smile, and conversation to two complete strangers - the way it used to be.
