Headlands Estate
I stayed for 1 night, met the host and never saw her again, did not expect coming from Europe to have to cook my own breakfast.The shower is a bit of a health azard the aluminum tray very slippery, water was luke warm.My room was supposed to have tea coffee etc, no you have to go to the kitchen and make it. I wouldn't be comfortable if I had to share the kitchen with loads of guests all trying to prepare their own breakfast.

Headlands is a treasure, with its old world charm, spacious and comfortable rooms, set in rural Whanganui. Only 11 minutes from the town centre, it is a perfect location for exploring the river, shops and numerous art galleries in the area. We were made to feel very welcome by hosts Annette and Steve, who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed but left us to enjoy our holiday.Three days passed too quickly, and we plan to return one day. Headlands Estate was a fantastic place to stay, located a short drive from town it was very peaceful and quiet. The home itself was lovely and our hosts were friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the facilities were great, we would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Headlands Estate
We celebrated Mum's 90th birthday here with family we hadn't seen for decades. The location and house was perfect for all of us to come together and to take Mum from her regimented days at the Retirement Village for 3 days which was uplifting for her too.Thanks Annette and Steve for looking after us and sharing your dog Rubi, for us with separation anxiety :)
