Love this place, beautiful scenery and a great off lead area for the dogs (make sure you check as only certain parts offlead). Dog loves chasing sticks, swimming in the river and all the different sniffs. Def a favourite! Cinnamon really enjoys her time here

Pleasant local park, i walked through on the northern walk" route which was had more climbing than i expected but not enough to put me off. One or two interesting views. One nice bench in a quiet spot to sit for a cuppa. Locals walk their dogs here but its nice and quiet. Exit to Hanover street becomes quite steep. Beware its cold and slippery on some of the mud paths in the park

Fabulous bush and stream asset so close to the city. Awesome that dogs are allowed off-lead throughout. There is a missing bridge still not replaced from floods last year. This limits accessibility. Also, the ongoing work at the lower part of the gorge road has meant the old magazine and surrounding area is no longer accessible.

A beautiful place to take a walk through the Bush. A quiet place of natural beauty. A great place to walk the dog, or just take a stroll. Or connect up with other tracks and walkways in Wellington. You can push yourself for a workout, whilst enjoying the tranquility and natural beauty of New Zealand native bush. Recommend that you walk on a dry day, or else can be slippery in places when wet. Highly recommended to all, whether you want a nice amble, or a hike.

Nice little park with walks following the stream. Some paths have no incline and others take you up the hill a bit.

Great walk through native bush close to many suburbs with lots of access points and great tracks. It is an off leash dog area so it's a fantastic place to take your dog for a walk and to socialise with other dogs. The stream provides plenty of opportunities for them to get a drink or have a swim.

It is a good walk but not good for cycling. Unless you are a pro. It is a nice place because it is very close to the city.

Great off-lead area, nice tracks, river for the doggo to cool off after playing with other social, well-trained friends. The bush works as shelter in drizzle and wind
