Te Aroha Domain
Beautiful domain with a lovely view over the town and the plain. Wonderful thermal opportunities, housed in beautifully restored heritage buildings. A treat to visit if only to see the geyser (1minutes walk from the domain's roadway), and the historic mineral footbath (also 1 minutes walk.)

Te Aroha Domain
A nice walk, but the signage could be a bit more clear and some parts of the walk can be quite unsafe. The net is coming away from the logs making them slippery and the wires are sticking up in some places, not safe especially for dogs or children. It needs a bit of love.

A beautiful domain to have a picnic, take the kids for a play at the park or even take your dog for a walk or play ball. Grab a coffee from the cafe or enjoy an ice cream under a shady tree. There are also bush tracks around the mountain and up to the top of the mountain. The tracks are rough going up but I enjoyed my walk to the first lookout which is about 30-40min walk with a very steep incline.

Absolutely beautiful place to visit and hang out. Lawns and gardens are well maintained and the Museum is definitely worth checking out. Great family day out.

Absolutely gorgeous domain with super cute architecture and very pretty ponds. It's just the gem on the crown of beautiful Te aroha. Looks beautiful on a sunny day nestled under the majestic mountain. Toilets, water, benches, gazebos, tracks, little lakes and the thermal spa. This domain has it all. Loved spending time here.

Lots to enjoy in this small rural town and its fantastic Domain. Information Centre, wonderful Museum, a Cafe are all on-site, together with the Mineral Spa and the Swim Zone. Close enough to town for you to park up and explore the park, shops, and the nook-knacks. Want somewhere to go for a day excursion, try here.

Te Aroha Domain
Great place to spend some time relaxing or start a hill climb to the summit of Mount Te Aroha, Whakapipi or Bald Spur. This is a historical location with a successfully renovated Edwardian Domain. Very modern hot pools that is suitable for all age groups. Historical buildings including the Cadman Bath House (1898), housing the local museum, the newly renovated No 2 Bath House, restored tea rooms and boarding house. At the back of the domain is the world's only hot soda water geyser, erupting approximately every 40 minutes to around 4 m, with the soda water reputed to have therapeutic values. The track to the lookout point is a good alternative to the summit at 350 m if the 952 m summit is not for you. It is steep but a well formed track and takes 2.5 hours zigzaging its way up the hill. However, well worth the view from the top. There are a number of shorter walks behind the domain including a 30 minute small waterfall walk. There are plenty of information signs on the walk behind the domain about ther local native flora, birds and animals of the area.

From the moment I walked along the pathway leading up the steps to the front door I felt like home away from home. The aroma of oils and lotions were instantly relaxing me. I was greeted by a friendly and kind person and shown around which enabled me to get my bearings. I found myself mezmorised by the interesting and ageless beauty of the architecture and interior design. My chosen treatment of a facial was delightful provided by another joyful and caring person. Afterwards as I sipped on water in the quite room. I felt taken care of and valued as a person.

Lovely park, good playground area and lots of green space to run. A museum is inside the premises, along with the I-Site with useful tourist information. There is also a small art gallery with paintings from local artists. There are public toilets available for the public. Counted 3 tables for picnic and a bbq place that charges $1 to use.
