Under new management since Christmas 2022 last I heard. We enjoyed their food years ago and decided to try them once again - to which they did not disappoint! The fresh fish + homemade batter was tasty and light, the burger not too packed like other places. They were also super fast with our order, considering how busy it looked. It's great to have a takeout shop open on the weekend, and one with clean and light oil so the flavours come through. My Dad is sensitive to a lot of foods these days so it was great that he could enjoy food from here. - From a new regular customer

My husband and I stop here on our way back to Auckland. 1st time round was great! Greeted warmly, fish, chips and toasted sandwich was superb. Milk shakes are just that milk shakes not the thick shakes I find you end up getting else where. We remembered how great the food was that we had the 1st time so were definitely stopping on the 2nd time round. Once again we were greeted warmly, we ordered a toasted sandwich, scallops, crabstick, chips and a couple of milkshakes. Must admit they tasted so good that half way through the meal I thought I need to take a photo and do a review to acknowledge just how yummy their food is.I can only say one more thing - can't wait for our next visit. Keep up the great work!!!

My husband went here to order us fish and chips for dinner. I wanted a piece of snapper but my husband said they only had Hoki - not my favourite fish but thought it would be ok still. Got home to discover the Hoki was cheap crumbed Hoki like what u buy at the supermarket frozen. I rung and spoke to the owner and asked her we wanted fresh battered fish. She told me that the young lady who served him told him it wasn't fresh fish which was absolute lies. She argued with me over this! She said many of her customers buy pre frozen Hoki and John Dory and like it. When you advertise fish and chips you expect to get fresh fish not cheap supermarket frozen rubbish. My husband said it tasted horrible and rubbery.Not impressed with the owner arguing with me, no apology or refund offered. Not impressed and will never go back. Next time I hope you tell your customers that their fish is frozen processed and disgusting.

It's been our local fish & chip shop 25+ years, building itself needs a bit of tlc, but still get friendly service and lots of yummy options. Highly recommend their fish burger! Yum!

Really yummy food...Had a cheese, ham and pineapple toasted sandwich and it was filled to satisfactory.No customer service or atmosphere, meaning no smile or greeting.

Only got a coffee, but staff were friendly and coffee was good. Would happily visit again.
