Fantastic fish and chips! Wrapped in newspaper the old fashioned way. Snapper was delicious, not too greasy or salty, and the pineapple fritters had the perfect amount of cinnamon and sugar.

The $14 pack was more than enough for 2 meals.Just one thing, ask them repeat your order. I did not and ended up with more than I ordered.

Classic fish and chips with a good size piece of snapper & decently crisp chips even after the drive home. Not too greasy. Will be going back.

Have driven last so many times but never really wanted to stop. Gave it a go tonight and it's probably the best I've had for a long time. Not over greasy, burgers with real Ingredients, scallops that were real scallops! Will definitely be back! Although we don't eat out too much, this place will probably be out go to. Very clean but customer service was poor the evening I visited. Arrived round 7:30 and perused the menu board. Whilst doing so was told takeaways close at 7:30. After asking the time, was told they were now closed for takeaways very bluntly. Pity...

The takeaway food and the price are both really good. The store is also a dairy. It's run by a lovely kiwi Indian lady and her family, who sound like they were born here, and have brilliant customer service.

The lady serving could do with learning customer service skills. Her rude demeanour made me question if she actually wanted any customers. 1 customer was told atleast 15 minutes for a cheese toasted sandwich. Food was adequate (3/5) which has raised the rating to 2 stars. No waiting area for takeaways, just wait in the rain or in the way of customers wanting general grocery items. Great Fish & Chips, Fish Patties, Hot Dogs etc. Goes down a treat!! Always look forward to their takeaways when visiting family in Clarks Beach from Wellington. Roll on my next visit and takeaways.

Food (take-a-ways) was ok, the unsmiling staff were not friendly, but it was a pleasant enough spot to have Friday Night FnC but I wouldn't stop there again, which is a pity. I guess they have enough regular customers to feel they didn't need to smile or appreciate your custom.
