Chipmunks Playland & Cafe Rotorua

First time going to chipmunks with my baby, haven’t been since I was a kid so we were super excited. We went on a weekday which was ideal. The place was clean, the kids were happy, a positive vibe. It was a bit awkward walking in and not being spoken to. We stood at the counter waiting for the lady to look up at us, nothing to say. We were expecting to be given the ok to go through, perhaps a rundown on how things work, etc. Not very energetic or happy to be there. We were checking out the space for a future 1st birthday party, not sure about it now.

What an awesome place to have an event for children

It provides a safe playground for kids and the facility was very clean and tidy. It has a separate party room and a big inflatable slide for kids over 3yo. Will definitely visit again when we r in Rotorua.

playground is awesome & safe.Very disappointed in the food/management policy as we were told to put away our two 1yr olds lunch boxes & told not to bring in our own food even after spending over $100 total to get in & order food for the older kids. Im not going to feed my 1yr old burgers nuggets & pizza & my freinds baby has food allergies so has a strict diet.so yes extremely disappointed & disgusted in how that was handled. the food policy definitely needs an update to something more reasonable.

Highly recommend Chipmunks for your toddlers birthday party. Michelle and the team at Rotorua were so easy to work with and made my day worry free! Excellent communication prior to our arrival.Just turn up and it's all done for you - adults platters were delicious and the kids enjoyed their meals, the team were able to cater to our Gluten Free requirements.The kids absolutely loved their day, and my toddler is already planning his next visit there (he loved his gifts and return voucher!Thanks again team, you guys are awesome!

Well maintained, friendly staff, nice cafe, great place to stay or relax if you're traveling with kids, they love it here!

Why don't we have one of these in the Hawkes Bay, kids loved it and for a whole $25 for our two 3 year olds for as long as you like you can't go wrong. Service was polite and with a smile. Healthy food options like mini sandwiches cut fruit and a Keri or water drink for the kids and gourmet burgers for us. Facilities were clean and tidy. Gave it a 5 because it is worth the money, indoors and service top notch.

Well run, clean and good noise suppression. Excellent set up for young under 5s all the way through. Safe and loads of fun

Amazing place for our little people. My grandchildren LOVED IT! The staff are friendly and the price is well worth it when you can come and go throughout the day. Highly recommended.

Extremely tiny space all cramped together, way too crowded, needs a cap on amount of people at a time. Dirty tables and floors and everything about it looked dated. Staff were standing around chatting instead of cleaning tables which people needed to use. Adults have no regard for little kids and seem to think it's ok to jump on slides and equipment ahead of small children, staff should be enforcing no adults on bouncy castle slide... super disappointed, left after 30 minutes of being there so was a waste of money. Even my 4 year old said she didn't want to go back on the same day as staff said we can always come back later in the day. We live in Auckland and have been to many other chipmunks there which have much better standards.Edit: we weren't there on the weekend it was on a Friday morning.
