Terrible, asked them to put together complete, 100% all in cost, of pre fabricated minor dwelling, delivered, plumbed etc., and they forgot to mention the cost of the change in title, some $20,000+ extra! Absolutely no faith they could have delivered the project on budget as before anything had even been done the cost had increased, and rather significantly too.

We had our bathroom done and Sharon Giblett was so helpful with all our design features and. made sure all the tradies were on time.

He respects the creative role I play, and I, in turn, am highly respectful of how he makes my designs become a reality. Often this involves his astute problem solving skills, which combined with his strong 'can do' attitude, work ethic, and communication skills between myself, and his superb administration and trade staff, my customers are always delighted with the renovation process, and the finished result. Refresh Manwatu constructed a carport beside our house. The team was great at consulting us on our requirements, providing advice and sourcing the particular clear roofing which we liked. They provided written plans and cost estimates to help us reach a decision. The work was completed to an excellent standard and I would highly recommend them to others.

We had been considering renovating our home for a number of years but had always been reticent to start given the inevitable complexities of the process and the potential pitfalls of project managing something so significant ourselves.Our decision to engage Saleem and his team was the best choice we could have made. From the first design meeting - through planning, costings, consenting and then the actual build process - the communications, level of engagement and renovations were exemplary. Saleem and the team always had pragmatic and high-quality solutions to any complexities that arose and dealt with our ‘bright ideas’ with aplomb.The completed renovation was everything we could have hoped for with the final costings and timings also consistent with the estimates provided once the design was finalised. We haven’t hesitated to recommend Saleem wherever we can and will definitely use them again if and when we decide to undertake another renovation.

I've had two renovations done by Refresh. Both by Saleem in Auckland. One renovation was for my home and one for my business. Both went really well. They were within the expected time frame and budget. Saleem managed everything really closely and was very good at maintaining regular communication. I also like the app they use so you can see what's happening. Saleem managed any issues we had really quickly and there was minimal stress. Very happy with the quality of both jobs.

UPDATE re your reply: I have just read your reply to my review. I am curious to see how Refresh Renovations are going to take responsibility for one of their franchisee’s defective workmanship. I am sure any potential future client of yours reading this review will also be very interested to see if Refresh Renovations are stepping up or just leave the client at the mercy of the franchisee ( which is what I have experienced so far). Watch this space …UPDATE: 5 years later, Had to rip out a nice bathroom and shower due to water ingress. This was a bathroom renovated by Refresh Renovations! Couldn’t believe my eyes when lifting the shower tray: a big hole in the wall where they fitted the waste pipe to go outside and no backfill and concrete around the pipes in the floor. Everything just open and no surprise we got water in here. How are you allowed to do something like that? Will try to add to my previous photos so you can get an idea for the quality Refresh Renovations stand for.We had Refresh Renovations engaged for a major renovation of our family home. Unfortunately, the franchise we had to deal with (North Shore) were completely out of their depth. Most of the time they had only a couple of apprentices doing the work, their subcontractors like licensed builder and waterproofer completely neglected their responsibilities (and got penalized for it by the LBP Board), their project manager completely inexperienced in the basics of project mgmt practice and with no building qualifications, etc. Although Refresh advertises that they have their own building crews, this franchise hired their trades from Builderscrack and e.g. ended up with an unlicensed blocklayer which then used another licensed builder's license number in fraud. All under the eyes and quality management of the Franchise owner and Project Manager. The result were huge delays, big cost overrun and the worst, defective workmanship that we now have to deal with. Refresh Renovations Headoffice was alerted to the situation but did nothing to back us. Hard to understand how they are allowing one rogue franchise to damage their brand in this way. The word is out on the North Shore. Stay away from them! (Photos just showing a very small subset of the quality of workmanship that you get when apprentices without supervision are doing renovation work).

Awesome team to work with. Very helpful right from the get go, took a bit longer due to the Covid backlog. Any problems we had were resolved quickly. Highly recommend the refresh Manawatu team for your renovation projects.

Fantastic team at the Manawatu branch of refresh. From the office through to tradesmen and the project manager, all very professional and hard working. The quality of the workmanship cannot be faulted. Attached is the before (blue garage) and after (red garage) after refresh completely fixed fascias, roof, replaced and modernised kitchen window. Also internal works completed and further work is planned for next year.
