Spotless and tidy. Older design and could do with a new mattress and a refresh in the bathroom and kitchen. But great price, very nice people and the room is well looked after. I would definitely come back.

Very pleasant experience. My first time driving 4+ hours and it was nice to be greeted by super friendly staff. The room was definitely worth my money. It was noted that there was limited cookin facilities so i didnt expect much but there was a stove top as well as a microwave and fridge which was helpful. The staff were also very helpful. Overall, i loved my stay and would highly recommend this place to others.

Hi. Stayed at Safari Motel last weekend, 27 April, 2019. Friendly arrival and departure. We asked for a dog friendly room, so thanks for that. Can be hard travelling with a dog. The room was really good. Comfy bedding, ands so very clean, everything. Would stay again and totally recommend to all dog travellers out there. There is a reserve behind, where you can walk your dog. Thanks from Luigi too : )

The motel is clean but dated. I felt like we had fallen back the the early 70's. The major negative was the sound of trucks throughout the night. This place would benefit from double glazing.and better curtains.

The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. However we got there was a cot but when we got there we got told to use the couch for our 6 month old. Luckily we had our porta cot with us.

This motel is too cute for words. Definitely 60's design but super clean and coolest part is that we arrived late at night, automatic system presented us with keys and left early next morn and simply dropped the keys into a box. No hassles and a brilliant sleep halfway to Wellington. Will see you next time Safari Motel!!

Such a comfy little motel, easy to find and the owners are very friendly and helpful. They helped us out during covid with somewhere to stay over night. The room as clean and very comfy, with its own little kitchenette. I would definitely recommend this lovely motel to anyone travelling in the area.

The guy on the desk was super helpful. Had trouble getting the air con to work. He came over, no trouble, and sorted out the settings.There were wee containers of milk, margarine and spreads which we really appreciated. Decent dilmah tea also.Good bed, very clean.

Excellent value for money and a very clean motel. Stayed one night and slept really well. The walls seem to be well insulated and I didn't hear any other guests or the road. The room had all the utensils and pots you may need plus kettle (no lime scale at all!), microwave and toaster. Fresh milk in the fridge as well as tea and coffee. Friendly owner to top it off :)

Clean, warm studio unit just what we needed after hours on the road. Awesome shower. Funky 70s decor. Noise & vibrations from passing trucks - thanks for the ear plugs which got rid of almost all the noise. Value for money
