Fabulous Labour weekend at Tairoa Lodge, the historic house and landscaped gardens are worth the visit, providing a glimpse into a bygone era. Linda provides friendly, personal service with every attention to detail making our stay very comfortable and most enjoyable thanks

We loved this place. Linda is a very attentive host. We loved in then Gatehouse. Old house with old wooden furnitures. Big kitchen with all you need plus a washing machine and a dish washer. All we needed was some relaxing time. And that we got.

Great place. The warmth was fantastic. I didn't feel the outside chill at all. Awesome acoustics. The feel.of the place was awesome and people felt comfortable even with this covid 19 lockdown 2 thing happening. Great cups of tea afterwards. Thanks everyone.

Gardens to wander in with quirky old decorations tucked in quiet spots. The cafe was lovely and well decorated. Tables with upright chairs and a sofa and armchair area too, all socially distanced. There is an outdoor deck with tables for fine-day dining. The cakes were well displayed. It was easy to see the range of drinks available. I asked for a savoury pinwheel to take-away and it was beautifully presented in a cardboard box with a wooden fork.

The team at backyard catering were amazing for our wedding. They definitely think of all the little things and small touches. The staff were professional and helpful, they were efficient and the food was amazing!Our guests commented that the food was delicious and the set up was beautiful and inviting. would totally recommend these guys, and such a good price too!

Linda hosted us for our wedding and she and her team did an amazing job! She provided the cottage for my wife and I, and 3 rooms for our guests in the Lodge. The food was great and everything went off without a hitch.

Backyard Catering catered my wedding on our property in New Plymouth. Their food was absolutely amazing, all our guests raved about the delicious food. The bar staff were also amazing, their service was above and beyond. Linda was amazing to deal with from booking to planning to the big day. I cannot recommend Linda and her team enough!!

Stayed in Tairoa Cottage for my wedding weekend. Absolutely perfect venue for getting ready, very beautiful and well designed. Had the cutest little breakfast selection, unfortunately cannot comment on the quality as my nerves prevented me from having my continental breakfast but it was a great selection. Fantastic service from Linda as well. We are already talking about coming back for our anniversary!

With a group for lunch. Effectively ran out of food. On request made more sandwiches, not worth the wait. Some odd looking bacon and egg sort of pie left which tasted ok but didn't look good. The lack of assistance for a wheelchair diner is the biggest issue.
