A little dated, but had everything we needed Staff friendly, plenty of parking.Well suited for families with dvd's & tv's in the bedrooms. Good heater if required. Water pressure a bit low, but still usable in shower.

Nice little place.. great 4 us truck drivers to stop and have a wash...get a meal....and get a good nights sleeps.

Stayed 3 days. Very basic motel so bear this in mind when you book a cheap tarrif. I travel on a budget so it was ok for me.Room was clean but very dated. Shower walls were gross, but you get what u pay for. Lady owner was quite nice.Beware though that they advertise air conditioning/heat pumps in all “Kitchen Studio Rooms” on their website. Don’t pay the extra as they don’t exist.

Definitely need to take the luxury out of the advertising.We booked a two night stay for four and while the sheets and towels were clean the room was very disappointing . The shower had no pressure and walls were mouldy. Two very old peeling uncomfortable chairs greeted you in lounge area. Mirrors everywhere, No air con just some noisey fans. Looked like it was being used for emergency housing

Basic but clean and comfy. Bed was very comfy but had a tendancy to wheel away when you sat on it. Ery very comfy tho. Could not fault the unit, it had all i needed just not luxury. Would recommend for anyone passing through Taihape. Could not rate service as such as being a motel there wasnt the need for service and i didnt have anything to approach the management about.

The location is perfect, walking distance to shops, pub and supermarket etc. If you want a cheap, clean motel unit without the frills, this is for you. I got sick during my stay and the staff were fabulous, even offered to pick up Orange juice for me from the supermarket. You don’t get that often.Claire Hogan
