Lower Hutt War Memorial Library
Still the same old library, trusty and reliable. They update with new exhibits all the time. The latest was in observance of the ANZAC just gone, biographies of famous New Zealand soldiers.

Point Break Backpackers & Cafe
An unexpected surprise. Great coffee, friendly service, excellent burger, crisp tasty fries cooked in new oil and all for a very good bargain price. Typical pleasant seaside retro 70s decor and all nice and clean toilets too. A little winner in New Brighton

Net2 Internet Cafe
I went there to print 6 pages of black and white documents for an urgent matter on a rainy Friday afternoon. Asked the counter staff how much it would cost, she said $0.50 per page. Then sent me to a PC terminal, after printing, total cost was $5 ($3 for documents, $2 for PC usage). She did not tell me about the $2 charge before sending me to a PC, it was really outrageous. Always use the public libraries if you need to print documents. Much cheaper and better.

The Lumsden Hotel
This is a review of the restaurant, we did not stay at the hotel. This place is like New Zealand Deliverance, but the people were friendly and the food was great. 5 stars

I went there to print a few pages of a document, After printing I was charged 2$ extra on top of printing charge, for computer usage". Something I WAS NOT TOLD BEFORE. Message to owner: don't try to make stupid excuses

The Loft
Lovely little eclectic shop / cafe / workspace on Waiheke. Free WIFI and a couple of big tables make it an ideal place for a work meetup. 'Little Tart' cakes are DELICIOUS (cinnamon brioche and GF blackcurrant and almond tart are to die for!) and the loose-leaf teas and coffees are all beautifully presented. Really interesting and unusual high-quality gifts, games, homewares, art and photography packed into a small space. Also supports local artists. I love my fountain pen - and can buy refills here, too!

Got my laptops panel 1080p 120hz and hinge replaced for over $300. That for me a 720p and 60hz panel with a terrible constant ratio as apparently they don't make my laptops monitor anymore (they do and for just $60). However at the time I was not very tech savvy and was still in school so did not realize until a bit later (apart from the fact all blacks appeared grey)
