We asked Future Plans to design our new home in Whangaparaoa. They were both attentive and professional, and we were very happy with the design. I have recommended them many times and would happily be using them next time we build.

We engaged Wyreframe to complete a digital survey and scan-to-BIM exercise on an existing school building in Napier. This involved a combination of drone footage and a backpack mounted scanning device (I’ll leave the technical aspects of this up to the team to explain!). The result was a fully immersive photographic and point-cloud based model that we were able to navigate through via a web browser. We were able to have the full client and consultant team utilise this model to better understand the building as well as record dimensions. This was an invaluable tool as we were working remotely on the project and numerous site visits would have been cost prohibitive. The next stage was the creation of a full BIM asset in Revit. We received a high-quality model that was used as the starting point for a very comprehensive set of construction documents. The whole process was smooth and without any problems; Ben and the team are consummate professionals, communicated clearly and were a pleasure to work with. Blueprint did a small job for us, drawing up plans for consented bathroom work, all done without any hassle and about as prompt as it gets. Thanks guys, bathroom all done now!

Not knowing any architects in Whangarei I did a Google search for well reputed ones and settled on Steve. At no point have my wife and I ever regretted this. We wanted to extend our house with a master bedroom, ensuite and walk in wardrobe over the top of a concrete deck above double garages. Steve listened to our brief and came up with several options. The one we chose suits has come up even better than we had hoped for. His recommendation of Mark Kokich Builders was a masterstroke as Mark often builds Steve's designs. The combination of designer and builder made the project extremely smooth (apart from a forced delay caused by Covid 19).
