PURE ARCHITECTURE

We have a beach house at Langs Beach which needed renovation. Our son designed what we needed but had no time to draw up the plans. Tony took on the task and worked with us, our son and the Whangarei Council. He answered questions and altered plans very quickly so the builders could get on with their job. We love our place more than ever and would recommend Tony to take on any architectural style.

Tony at Pure Architecture was engaged to design, consent and supervise extensive alterations to our Churchill Road house including a new double storey entrance way with an elevator, upstairs deck and downstairs kitchenette and storeroom. Half of our sloping section was undeveloped and Tony drew up precise plans that allowed us to build a workshop with a full bathroom, orchid house and a 40 metre retaining wall up to 3.5 metres high half of which was curved in situ concrete.Tony was very responsive, innovative and helpful and allowed our plans to pass smoothly through the engineering and consent process ensuring the builder and subs built a quality finished product which won a silver award at the Master Builder Awards. Our renovations have been much admired and we love living in our upgraded home.Thank you so much Tony.

We wanted some handy and local in Howick to help with our plans for a major house renovation. It is a 1950s 3 bedroom timber weatherboard house. It was dark, cold and really dated. We engaged Pure Architecture for design advice, draw up our plans and submit them to council for building consent. Council can be difficult , frustrating and complex to deal with and Tony guided us through it all.We found Tony very friendly and easy-going, knowledgable and professional. He listened to what our goals of the renovation were and designed a really good solution. He also accommodated late changes to our scope (replacing all our timber widows with aluminium joinery). We are really happy with how the house looks now. Its modernised and warm, like living in a brand new house! I wouldn't hesitate to use Pure Architecture again on another project.

Pure designed my deck extension and did a fantastic job - totally in character to the house. Tony is a lovely guy - very talented and easy to deal with - oh and very good at what he does.
