I have just collected a hand-made, fully lined Harris Tweed jacket that Trudy at Nemo had altered to fit for me. This is a very special garment as it belonged to my late mother, and I wouldn't have trusted it to anyone else. The end result was just perfect. Without doubt it's the most special and best-fitting item in my wardrobe, and one that I will get to wear with joy for the rest of my life. Thank you Trudy!

Thank you to Nemo Bridal for literally saving my wedding day! The day before my wedding I realised my wedding dress (altered elsewhere) was too big - they accommodated me right away and I was able to pick it up the next day with the dress fitting like a glove!

I used Nemo Bridal’s steaming and fur hire service. I got married on a mountain and unfortunately our wedding date was moved due to bad weather. Nemo were so accommodating, steaming items at the last minute and being flexible with the fur hire. Really professional service, would highly recommend.

I had a very small cut in my jeans and left them here to get it fixed. The $22 were by no means worth the result. I visited the shop again and raised my complaint but I was told that a patch is the only way to fix a small cut in a jeans. I had hoped for an invisible result and not a big square on my jeans. Also the work looks a bit rushed. One pair of really good and new jeans ruined within a few minutes. And while I am not a tailor I know that there are other and less obvious ways to fix a hole in a pair of jeans. Especially because it was a very small cut.Apart from that I was just told that that's how it's done when I raised my complaint and nothing else.

I used Trudy and the team at Nemo Bridal for my couture wedding dress and I couldn't have had a better experience! They were amazing, from listening to the design I had in mind, to the fabric they proposed I used (which I LOVED!) to the dress fittings, to the finished product. It was a dream, the dress fitted beautifully and I felt a million bucks! It was also really nice to have someone local make it, it made the fittings easy, and also another beautiful friendship has been formed. We hired some suits and also had a wedding dress steamed as we flew in for our wedding. Trudy was amazing in helping us organise things via email and Claire was fantastic in helping us get fitted when we landed. Claire also did an amazing job helping us prep our wedding dress after the flight. The Nemo team truly care and should be your go-to for any wedding or alteration needs!

Trudy and her team are amazing. Creative and helpful with fantastic attention to detail. Her wedding dress (hire and purchase) selection is small enough to get your head around but big enough to find something perfect - there is something for everyone!

I love this tailor! They always do a fantastic job. I’ve brought in clothes and our lovely backpacking tent to be repaired. Everything always comes back in phenomenal shape. Highly recommend.

First thing to note is they charge about $150/h for wedding dress alterations, so a hem will cost more than you expect.First time I went into the shop, I wanted to get my own gown made and I brought a beautiful skirt and another dress to make into one. Trudy said it would be about $1000 to do what I wanted. She said do you want to go ahead and I said sure and she started ripping the zipper out of the skirt and pinning it. I asked for a quote to be emailed and two days later she emailed with a quote for about $2000, double what she said.I decided I wanted to try dresses on if making a dress was going to cost that much. I emailed to book an appointment explaining all this for a couple weeks later. When I came in, there were no dresses for me to try as they were out being photographed. Trudy apologised and I said I would reschedule.I bought a dress elsewhere in the meantime and then decided to come back to Nemo to get it hemmed as it's the only wedding dress seamstress I knew at the time. I had it hemmed and the scalloped edge moved, and added a mesh layer to the cup to match my skin tone. I should have asked for a written quote because I knew from the first experience that the price could be double what I expected, so shame on me. It ended up costing $550.I went to pick it up as it said to in the invoice. I got there at 430 and waited for Kristen to give a man a quote for some curtains which took 5 minutes. Then when I said I was here for a dress, she said I needed an appointment and she had a deadline to meet so I could not try my dress on then. So I had to book and come back.Also, their invoice system is messed up and says it took 22h at a rate of $25/h. When I asked Trudy only then did I work out the hourly rate after asking how many hours to do the work. In the end it took 3.7h at $150 an hour.Another thing to note is, I had it hemmed to me in flats. I wore a 6.5cm heel, and tripped over the front hem, right at the beginning of the night and it tore where they attached the scalloped edge. So much for hemming to me in flats. If I wore those I would have tripped over it all night.Trudy is nice, but I would say disorganised and makes you feel rushed. And definitely always ask for a quote.
