We had Pete from Apex Construction (Nelson) Ltd do some work at our place and we are extremely happy with the work he has done. Pete was a pleasure to have around and has a very optimistic attitude. If a problem arose he had a solution already planned which made it very easy for us. His project management was exactly what we needed and his attention to detail was spot on. We would have him back for any future work.

Apex ConstructionBefore hiring Pete Langford of Apex Construction he had to meet the criteria we were looking for in a builder.- A written contract outlining the full extent of expenses to completely renovate our bathroom en-suite.- A genuine interest in the project.- A good work ethic, management and communication skills.On our first meeting Pete spent an hour if not more going over the details of the project and taking notes as he went along. We then had a second meeting. We work out the expenses and the details of the contract. After the meeting we felt Pete was the right man for us and he was hired.We now have a gorgeous en-suite thanks to Pete and his tradesmen. It isn’t always easy having complete strangers in your home, but all were very professional and respectful. The communication with Pete and tradies was easy and no questions were left unanswered. If anyone knows the feeling of being overseas when getting called by the flatmate to say there's roof damage in your house and there's water pouring into your living room down the ceiling light fitting, they know how distressed I might have felt a couple of months ago.Lucky there was Pete who jumped in the truck straight away to go assess the situation and do the necessary things to stop the flow and ensure the immediate damage was repaired.His builder's report & photos for the insurance were precise to the point that the loss adjuster didn't even have to come view the property and we were able to get onto the job of replacing the ceiling. I had a very small window of opportunity to get the whole job done first thing after the Christmas holidays and Pete actually managed to drum a competent crew together at very short notice to make this happen.Pete checked the subbies' work at the end of every day to ensure the job was done impeccably and on schedule and made sure I was kept in the loop with the process - which was immensely reassuring when your home has been turned into a building site and living is a bit crammed.In short... Pete has done an amazing job not only on site but also as a project manager and communicator. I can honestly say that it's rare to find a competent builder like Pete who ticks all those boxes and can guide you through the whole process with humour & professionalism.No need to say Pete will be my first choice of builder for future work on my house.

Thanks to Pete our ever changing ideas and vision was made a reality. Our once 1940's lounge and separate dining is now a fantastic modern open living space. Pete crafted out of macrocarpa, a fire surround for our old open fire, now a beautiful feature of the room. He listened to what we wanted and went above and beyond our expectations. He managed the contractors for plastering and painting and made sure our walls have a beautiful finish. We recommend Pete for any building and renovation, clearly not just a job but a passion. Thank you so much, great job, we love it!
