Very expensive. No cook on. Not paying $8 for a pie. Pancakes fruit was frozen and pancakes themselves were out of a packet and cold. 10 mins waiting for the pannini to heat and still half cold. Not going back!!

Stopped for a coffee and cake. Service was excellent and so was the coffee and freshly made scone. Recommend a stop if you are driving by and need a break.

Can only comment on the coffee as that's all we had. It was a necessary break stop on the way back to Christchurch Airport & have to say the flat white was surprisingly good for a self serve road stop eatery. After coffee we enjoyed browsing the adjoining gift shop. Great choice for a rest stop.

The cafe has gone downhill significantly in recent times. We ordered food from a very sparse selection (around 1:20pm - lunch time) and was thoroughly disappointed with it. The pies had watery fillings and the pastry cracked, and the cakes were tiny. Overall it was significantly overpriced.That was our last visit.

Stopped by for lunch and found the space in doors to be open and spacious. Lunch was a mix of cabinet food with a limited menu selection. The retail area is good with a great selection.Worthwhile stopping to have a look.
