Checkout is ridiculously queued. Long lines but only 2 tellers are opened. You can't sell check out if you have a trolley. Manukau you can and checkouts are always opened

This countdown store in Hunters Corner valentines week 2023, had a crate of large watermelon for sale at $4 each - it was hard to believe the price when watermelon are so expensive, BUT these watermelons were waterlogged and rotten - what a huge ripoff that was, especially with the price of food the way it is now!

Would have got 5 stars but a checkout operator told me they don't pack your groceries anymore. Funny they did last week and the week before. If that's the case then might as well go to the opposition.

I am a regular customer in this supermarket. During a recent shopping trip, I had a veg pre-packed item without a price barcode at the self checkout. The lady staff in the checkout area, Pushpa (as on name tag), was most courteous and prompt in her assistance and arranged for a staff member to walk over and get the barcode price . Another person, watching nearby was also impressed by her attitude and behavior. Small things, but they do matter. Thank you.

I like shopping at Countdown in the plaza. It has seats you can sit and relax.It has many $3 reduced products. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Not too bad, small store with limited options as this is the only supermarket in the area, so there is no competition with prices as such. But the neighbouring shops will give it a run for its money with the 2 dollar lunch specials.

I don't go there very often, but I rate it be by far a very great supermarket to go shopping when I'm staying out in Hunters Corner Papatoetoe.
