The manager was great on our takeaway visit last Saturday.I told him that the previous experience was disappointing as I had to throw away a Samosa as it was too fried and rock hard.He gave us 2 free samosas.The chicken was really soft and was the best we have had in takeaways.Different locations often have some gristle meat.

Fantastic tasting food, some of the best curry we've ever had. Picked up three dishes which ended up being enough for our young famil for dinner and lunch the next day - portion size was larger than standard. Slightly late on the pickup time, but not enough to worry about. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area.

I regret to say that this should just be a take-away restaurant. We dined in and the place was really cold, the Indian music far too loud and the service very poor. The food is good however. The use of school students as waiters will not work if they are not given some basic training. A shortage of staff is very evident. I would suggest that as soon as their lease runs out they should find smaller, cheaper premises and just serve takeaways as they clearly focus on that at the moment and pay little attention to their dine-in customers. This is intended as constructive criticism and I wish them good luck.

We have been using this restaurant since they opened 10 years ago. Food always great and always a friendly welcome from efficient staff. I highly recommend.What delighted me on a recent visit with a large group 30+ is that everyone I have spoken to, after the meal, thought it was great too. They especially commented on the speed of service, for such a large group, and the tasty food.Steve. Whangaparaoa

Good service, quick delivery however unfortunately both dishes were dripping in oil. When the containers were picked up they were greasy. We poured the visible oil into the sink and just ate the protein but couldn't really get rid of the oil taste. The spices and prawns/chicken pieces were nice but for $65 I'm disappointed. Please Please try to cook with less oil and put less oil in the dish. It's easy to see the oil if you let the container sit for a minute or two.

Hands down the best Indian food we have ever eaten. As there were four of us we shared a number of dishes and everything that came out of the kitchen tasted wonderful. Excellent service and atmosphere, this is a gem of a place in whangaparaoa. Highly recommend.

Worst butter chicken and cheese naan bread I’ve ever ordered tasted like I was eating a cup of brown sugar with tomato sauce and chicken was either past it’s due by date or been sitting there for daysHad the runs all nightChicken wasn’t tandoori chickenPhoned and complained and seems to be the normal for them as they don’t want to resolve the problem , comments from the person on the phone were , well this is what we cook we can’t do anything about itNaan bread was tiny and minimal amounts of cheese for a cheese naan breadWill not be going back and would suggest anybody to try mainsail curries to experience a proper curry

Disappointed never had a problem ordering from here meal always comes with rice. $73 for 3 curries and no rice arrived. It’s a shame cause the curries are always nice but I don’t think we will be ordering again.
