My visit here was everything I had hoped for and more. The food was superb, the setting is idyllic and the staff were friendly, polite and very knowledgeable. Our waitress especially! Thanks guys for a wonderful visit. See you next time.

Visited during its afternoon closing hour. Majestic view awaits its customers, chalet renters, function guests. A few hills in the property presents a beautiful & delightful scenery. Road is a bit narrow & “crawl” @ bends as they are blind spots. Have a cup of coffee & enjoyable breeze wind & soothing sounds of waves

We came.here for a staff due and sooo amazing. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the smoke area is nice and spacious and the restaurant is beautiful. There is a large lawn area aswell as a playground so it is definately suitable for children and also functions. The food was just delicious. I was full off my pork belly and desert WOW! I think the price is alot for a standard family but definitely worth it if you went in as a couple xxx

I wish I could love this place because the setting is spectacular. But the woman who greeted us was distinctly unpleasant both times we ate here in the past month. Other staff were quite charming, but on our last visit this woman ushered us to the one table in the place that didn't have a lovely view, told us that all the empty tables were reserved" and made no effort to make us feel welcome. It was very much take it or leave it. Very strange. But we were with visitors from overseas and I had been telling them about the lovely setting so - we took it. The meal was fine

Came here back in 2017 with the family and it left a very good impression on me. Glad to find out 6 years later that impression is well founded.I enjoyed a three course meal of Prawn and Paua Ravioli, Beef Bourguignon (first time having one of those), and Blueberry poached Pineapple with Mango Sorbet.

We were excited to go to the Bistro at Okurukuru for our wedding anniversary dinner while visiting from Wellington. It’s unfortunate that our first impression of this beautiful place was tainted by the rude and snappy behaviour of the person who ‘greeted’ us (we believe her name was Gillian) and who reprimanded us when we asked to see the outdoor area before being seated at the indoor table that had been allocated to us. The other team members were amazing and friendly, particularly Victor who took the time to chat with us and suggest local places to visit. The food and views were incredible - especially enjoyed the goats cheese and beetroot croquettes.
