Tawa Glen Cafe
I love eating here and has to be one of my favorite places. It is kid and dog friendly also. Sitting outside on the garden is lovely with comfortable chairs and a blanket if cold. The service is quick and friendly. Food is always amazing. Its a place to visit early as always has reserved tables.

Thanks Tawa Glen Cafe for a great birthday lunch.we were a party of 10 and all very happy with our meals. All served at the same time. The staff were friendly and polite. The only small complaint was the coffees were not hot enough.We enjoyed a stroll in the garden ( very wheelchair friendly thank you).We will definitely come back.

It was nice to sit in the garden area under an umbrella on a sunny day. Good coffee, didn't have anything off the menu so can't comment on that. They let us stay a bit longer after closing time so that was a bonus. Really enjoyed it.

I was given the wrong meal but it was our server's first day and we were a large group. The food was fine though, so I wasn't too upset.

Amazing food, stunning views and prices that wont break the bank. Its a hot spot,so advice would be to book ahead for a table. Will definitely be visiting again

We went to Tawa Glen for breakfast. We had been given a voucher so thought we would try something new.I have rated them two stars because the server who greeted us and took our order was absolutely delightful. It’s a shame she didn’t do anything about our complaint though. The setting is also lovely.The coffee was ok at best. The food was very quick to come out once we ordered but the meal was cold. The toast was pre “buttered”, the tomato undercooked, the mushrooms inedible due to the temperature and the bacon undercooked at one end and burnt at the other (I imagine that is pretty hard to do). I mentioned it was cold to the server who checked in on us. There was no apology and even worse, when we paid nothing was mentioned about it.We literally left with a bad taste in our mouths. We won’t be back and won’t recommend it to anyone we know either.Update: a good response from the owner regarding how complaints are handled but sadly a couple of free coffees won’t bring us back. The meals and coffees cost $63 and were yuck.

Very friendly atmosphere, good menu, and excellent service. We had crumbed fish, chips, and salad. It was cooked and crumbed perfectly, shame no variety of fish. After lunch we had a stroll around the very pleasant gardens. Set off the main road with plenty of free parking . We Will definitely be back.
