I went today to this restaurant and a lady attended me saying that the only menu is the only page of the book I was watching. From the 4 pizza option there was only one available. We asked if we could get hot drinks and the lady told us that there are not hot drinks available today (It was 3 degrees outside and we hoped just to get a hot chocolate). The worst was that the lady was looking very grumpy and had a bad manner to talk to us. There were only take aways at that time. It is a shame because Arthur Pass is beautiful and the restaurant itself looks nice. The service has to change. It was not welcoming at all. We decided to walk away. I remembered that this place was shown in a famous documentary about Keas, but the reality it leaves much to be desired

My partner and I wanted to sit inside to have a beer. We actually waited for them to open at 4pm. Once there they didn’t serve alcohol. Which was fine, we’re happy to have sodas as well. But once I bought the sodas I was told that they were going to close in 20min. The staff was very unfriendly and I felt most unwelcome.

Been in Arthur’s Pass for the first time.My friend happened to have a phone interview for atleast 20 mins, so we find a place to sit and eat lunch. This place looks quiet without any customer. The food is nice, big serving that did not disappoint us. However, the server is not friendly and accomodating. Did not allow an outside hot drinks inside the cafe though they do not serve any hot drinks that day. Also, she approached our table and cleared somedishes although we were not done yet. When we asked if we could stay for a while to wait for our friend’s interview to finish she told us that they will be closing at 2pm although they still have 2 other costumers eating inside. Would have opted for the cafe at the opposite side that serves everything and with friendlier staff if not bcoz of the quiet atmosphere we were after at those hours. Overall, not satisfied with the service.

Pizza was topnotch.Best part of the Spicy nachos was the jalapeños and the corn chips, the beef and beans I'll rather describe as toppers and canned beans" that was microwave cooked.Pasta was utterly pitiful

A cold day when we visited, but no hot drinks! A boiled jug and a tea bag or instant coffee would have done us. How hard is it?The soup, bread, and chips were ok, but delivered grudgingly.I did suggest as we were leaving that , sarcastically, she was a 'happy soul'. A steely stare and silence was the response.Why, oh why, are people like this in the 'hospitality' industry?God help Aotearoa if this is the response visitors to our country get.A smile costs nothing, but is worth a lot.

While the food was OK, the service and atmosphere there were as cold as the weather outside.Staff clearly didn't want to be there, no greating, no hot drinks.....Simply go across the road, don't make the same mistake we did by going here.

Beautiful food!!!!!! Even my EXTREMELY fussy teenagers loved it and left satisfied with full tummies!!!! Couldn’t recommend enough. Excellent service, gorgeous location, clean restaurant and DELICIOUS menu and food!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice little place, soup was delicious. Only the service is quite unfriendly. I think there’s much potential and small changes would lead to big impact. I hope the owner will find friendly staff soon.
