VTNZ Westgate

Not a good experience with my wife's practical driving test for full license. My wife got two tries and did not pass. We transferred to VTNZ North Shore and just one try she passed and the same driving style and form. I cannot understand why?? Just for the record, I witnessed and observed as I was quiet in the back seat during the test for both VTNZ Westgate and VTNZ North Shore. But it is what it is.

This Branch is great for Driver Licensing. Not much of a wait time. They give you the correct information. I'm not a fan of eye test machines but I reckon their one works better than their competition down the road.

I will never be booking a driving test at VTNZ Westgate ever again. I had a full license test booked and received a confirmation email with my receipt, when I showed up to sit my test (VTNZ Westgate is a 30 minute drive from my home) I was told that they had no record of my booking and could not test me. This was frustrating as they also could not refund me and to rebook I had to pay the test fee again ($60). I ended up rebooking my test for their next available slot which was the next week because I was going back to study in wellington. The afternoon before my test I got a text message saying my rebooked test had been cancelled and rescheduled for two weeks time which I am not available for. I have had to cancel this test and everywhere in Auckland is now booked out due to their such late notice. This has been the biggest waste of my time and money and I will never go back to VTNZ Westgate. I have now paid $120 and not been able to sit my drivers test once. Additionally the staff at VTNZ Westgate told me it was my responsibility to contact NZTA to claim my refund. I have tried calling NZTA multiple times and the wait time has not been less than 2 hours. I have emailed NZTA and there is a 15 working day wait time. I am so disappointed in these organisations for wasting my time and money.

Tried getting my full 4 times here already and got failed each time over stupid little things. My first one was with Mithin G, extremely rude, condescending and was ready to fail me by his expression. Every person I know who has been here has had the same experience from Mithin yet VTZN has convinced themselves to keep him there. I'll recommend people to not bother coming here for any driving test until he either fixes how he interacts with the customers or leaves.This VTNz is purely after your money that's why they will keep failing you for simply breathing! Do better please.

Missed on my initial visit. Advised clearly what was required & went back 2 days later for recheck. Successful, & all done with a smile. Gold card discount applied, no fuss.

Had to use this outlet as the IT system was down at VTNZ Huapai. Receptionist clearly hates her job. Passive aggressive to the very edge of being outright rude. Made a tedious but necessary experience just that little bit more unpleasant. Won't be returning.

The owner has said how the people they have working with them have very high expectations and are just following the rules. Yet I have been in the car over this last year as a witness with different people getting they drive licenses and seen something being let go and then not with the next. Yes we need good safe drives on NZ roads .With that being said you have people working for you that are not always following the SAME RULES with everyone.

Edit: passed my test two days later at the New Lynn VTNZI don't think I have ever had such a terrible experience with a testing officer before. I came in to do my full driving licence test. Mr. Nick E was my testing officer. He instructs me to leave the VTNZ. It was a busy day so there were cars parked on the left side of the road. Therefore, my car was slightly in the right lane. He instructs me to take a right, I do. Then he tells me to go back to the VTNZ. My test did not even last 2 minutes. I felt like I was not even given a chance. I will not be booking my test here anymore.
