Airport Gateway Hotel

Way better than I expected!! Very nice & excellent service, even being able to leave the car there while I'm away. Comfy bed, wonderfully helpful & friendly staff. Definitely stay again.

Stayed one night, it’s comfortable for just a stopover. My room was clean, the bed and toilet and sinks were pristine. Check in was seamless.Just a few things - I didn’t use the showers but I noticed an opening in the ceiling where there’s black mold, and the extra blanket in the closet had brown stains and smears on it when I opened it up to use. Probably needs better laundering. Also there was a constant loud squeaking sound from the corridors that echoed at regular intervals through the night, not sure what that was but it didn’t make for great sleep. There seems to be an extra charge on my card before I arrived from the price on my booking confirmation, maybe it was tax but they didn’t explain it.It’s still one of the cheaper options in the area so it’s great if that’s your priority.

Stayed for one night before a flight. Not the cleanest hotel, and appears quite run down. In my room, the shower didn't drain well and pooled at the bottom during the shower.There is a free shuttle bus from the airport. This hotel is the last stop so it takes about 30 minutes as the bus stops at all other hotels along the way.The hotel was fine for one night, but I'd probably find a closer, cleaner hotel next time even if it costs a few bucks more. No issues with the staff, they were kind.

For a last minute check-in, they provided! Friendly over the phone and in person. The room we got had 3 single beds for the two of us which was fine. Everything was decent and we are grateful! Thanks team!

After reading reviews here I was worried what did we book. My expectations were low and I was very well surprised. Yes the room and mainly bathroom would do some renovation but rooms were big and clean. Stuff very friendly, meal for dinner and breakfast delicious.We would definitely stay again for the value of money.What wasn't great and I informed reception in check out day was soaked wet carpet under the windows in the master bedroom. Not sure if they forgot to shut the windows when rain was there before our arrival. And also the pressure in shower was low.However price is the WINNER HERE.

If you have nowhere to go it's better than a tent. :) The fridge was not working and the light in the bathroom was hardly strong enough to provide enough to feel comfortable. For some reason the operator decided to put the cups and glasses on the shelf next to the toilet, which is quite unhygienic. The parking was not renovated for at least 30 years with asphalt lumps laying around. We didn't even wanted to see the pool or go to the restaurant. Who ever designed the building had no idea. It is kind of monster. I believe it is time for redevelopment as a renovation wouldn't achieve much. Not really happy. The people working there are trying it, but it is a bit of gone under. I agree the weather and the floods did their part as well, but I hardly believe in ideal world it will become my favourite place. On the other hand it is close to the airport, but noisy because of the highway. The new building design should incorporate some acoustic solutions and probably multistorey concept to avoid flooding. Thinking about it probably the civil design should take into account the global environmental changes. As stated in the title, much better than a tent.

Better than a tent at the airport but inly just. Extremely noisy, with cars reeving and dub dub boom boxes all night.Food in restaurant just very average and limited options for vegetarian.Dated bathroom need a good dust behind bedside cabinets.No care factor at all or offers of suggestion from night manager.Will not be back there are other options.

Was great as an overnight stay in Auckland after flying in. Easy transport with free bus. Good price. Friendly staff. Comfy bed. It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't....suited us fine

Have stayed twice in the last 8 days. Rooms are clean but in need of up date. No compendium in room so had to walk up to reception to get information. Had dinner in restaurant very average chicken burger. Second stay arrived at 8pm. Had another average curry went to room TV not working managed to call reception they come to room turn it off and on not working was told to wait 10mins if it didn't work to call them so I did. Waiter that served me came down and took remote and that was the last Contact I had. Staff were nice but no call back?Positive you can leave your car.
