Me and My son Wesley Taiapa had the pleasure of visiting this lake for his 7th Birthday! was a beautiful day and site to see thanks to Paora our guide. The Maui Po were awesome and the untouched Forest of Hikurangi is something you would only imagine or see in movies like Lord of the Rings, it is so well preserved!!! Proud to be Ngati Porou and will return to go to the top of Hikurangi when my son turns 14 :)
