Mt Vernon Lodge Akaroa

Fantastic place to stay - very reasonable price and absolutely beautiful. We stayed for 2 nights in a chalet which was really warm, had all the kitchen amenities we needed and was super-clean and tidy. The hosts were great, and the view from the balcony was fabulous. We had a great sleep on the super king bed, and we'll definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful place! Owners are super friendly! I highly highly recommend coming here to stay especially over the summer time would be amazing! Stunning views. Peaceful and just magical!

Did not stay a guess at a wedding witch was great

Beautiful and perfect location amongst the trees above Akaroa. Great heating in the room and a comfortable bed. Unfortunately the shower water temperature was lukewarm which was not ideal in the middle of winter. The manager assessed the problem immediately but it could not be fixed during our stay there.

We held our wedding at Mt Vernon Lodge, and I couldn't fault it.The setting is beyond beautiful, the accommodation is just lovely and it was just so easy to plan our perfect day. We chose this location because of the accommodation and the fact we could have all of our families on site and enjoy a lovely long weekend together as well as the wedding. Really I couldn't recommend Mt Vernon Lodge highly enough, we had the perfect day.

We loved our stay at Mt Vernon Lodge a gem hidden in the hills in Akaroa. Amazing location and views, facilities was 5* clean, the communal kitchen and lounge with fire area was spotless all the time didn't even need to set up the fire pit as it was always set daily ready to be lit in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine around the fire. On the doorstep to some amazing walks which we highly recommend. David & Amanda were very welcoming, me and my partner got engaged while there and they was so kind to give us a congratulatory gift. Will definitely visit again.
