We had great time at this restaurant! The owner was super friendly, he was very accommodating. Kids meal was great value, my steak was good.The food is good, but I loved the customer service was the most! I would definitely go back when we are in Nelson. Thanks for the great time!

Nice place, friendly staff. I'd only have to comment on the fact that some of our parties food order wasn't prepared, and we had to ask a staff member about the whereabouts of the meal. But within a short time, the chef had made up the meal. Otherwise really nice atmosphere

Really nice and delicious restaurant. The steak was really good and also the fries. The ambient in the restaurant is like you are sitting in a pub with a lots of wood. Really good.If you are in the area I can recommend to go there to eat.

Came here and ended up going for the cheap lunch option with dessert. Next time I would like to try a normal menu meal as they do look amazing in the photos.

Great atmosphere. Smugglers has been operating for ages in Nelson and is now more of an institution. Lots of seating with small and large tables, there is also a bar area when you can pop in for a drink rather than a meal. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Food is reasonably priced and all given appropriate smuggling/pirate titles. Decor also matches the theme, just the staff uniforms not so much. Worth a visit if your new to town.

The food was so yummy, and the place has great character. Peter, our waiter, is great! - so friendly with a great sense of humor. Bob" the fish in the tank (not on the menu!) follows you around when you put your face close to the glass

Wow! What a stunning place! The interior is creative and there's is always something to look at. The service was a amazing. Duty manager was a bloody good bloke. Great selection of beer on tap and the food was perfect. Highly recommend!!!!

Overall good food and great staff, but I did think the food is a bit lacking. The ribs and brisket were good but not great. The serving size was generous though and there is also off street parking at the rear.

The place looks cool, and i really yerned those ribs, but....They were made horribly, and even though I ate 2/9, I was still charged for more than half a meal...That's a steal! Shame on you, even the burger I ordered after wasn't good (ate to be full...)97 dollars for a 1 person meal, I'll never get back in there again (and neither anyone I know)
