Sur Le Mur Winery

Stopped by on a whim as we saw the winery signs on the road. Owner was very nice and told us all about how they import the alcohol-free wines from France. Had a violet coffee that was absolutely delicious and very unique.

Stopped by not realizing the products were alcohol free. Was so surprised by the range of options and variety. Went home with a few bottles of wine and french syrups. What lovely and hospitable hosts. Will definitely be back.Great gift idea if you have any pregnant friends or friends who don't drink alcohol (the rose bubbles are a favorite amongst me and my friends, we've phone ordered more bottles because we drank through what we bought so quickly).

Good place for people who enjoy a non alcoholic wine. Loved the high quality coffee

Hi, lovely person serving but they should have warned us this is a imported non alcohol wine tasting shop.Nice but we did not know this so very disappointed to say the least!

Felt very deceived by what was on offer. This is a country which is building a wonderful wine story however Sur la Mur does not contribute. Non alcholic wine is fine but this establishment does not produce any of it. In fact we were told by the land lady this was seen as a business opportunity in a market where non alcoholic wine is not often found. We drove 7km out of our way having seen a sign that posted Winery". This could not be further from the case. We arrived to a couple touting cheap grape juice imported from Europe under the guise of wine. Unlike other real and decent wineries in this country we were not informed of a tasting fee. Afterwards after politely tasting this product that wasn't even made in this country we were charged 20 dollars. What a joke. This put a very sour note on our trip."

This place is quite special as it used to be a vineyard that produced wine. However, now they offer non-alcoholic grape wine imported from France! When we found out that it was non-alcoholic wine, it was definitely a relief for travelers who need to continue driving. We could all enjoy it without having to exclude a companion who needs to be the driver or worrying about the dangers of drunk driving. For only NZ$10 per person, we tried many different flavors during the wine tasting. If they didn't emphasize that it was non-alcoholic wine, the taste and color might actually make you feel slightly intoxicated.But does non-alcoholic wine taste like grape juice? Absolutely not!Does non-alcoholic wine taste like real wine? That's something you need to experience for yourself!

Thank you so much to Wendy our host for the lovely and warm hospitality she has given us today for our first wine and truffle tasting. It was a super memorable experience especially on my birthday, merci bocu! Would highly recommend to visit plus the wine are zero alcohol which is amazing!
