Kiwi Journeys West Coast

Our group of 6 had an amazing time on the West Coast Wilderness trail. All the staff were super friendly and could not have been more helpful. The accommodation was great and the extra activities like the Treetops walk and the Scenic Waterways boat trip were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

We did the West Coast Wilderness Trail in March 2023. The staff at Kiwi Journeys were excellent (especially Tracy and Lauren). Every one of them was very efficient, knowledgeable, and very friendly.The accommodation was absolutely amazing.The bikes were well maintained and comfortable to ride.Our group of 6 would strongly recommend using Kiwi Journeys.

From the first contact with Kiwi Journeys the service was exceptional. Suzzanne was super responsive to our questions and was happy to amend the itinerary to accommodate our requests. From mechanical changes to the bikes, amending dates and accommodation, late arrival, but most importantly for us was where to find the best fungi - nothing was too hard or troublesome for the team.The accommodation provided was top notch in all locations along the Westcoast Wilderness Trail, the e-bikes were light, manouverable, and in excellent condition, and the itinerary just right – we couldn’t fault Kiwi Journey’s choices for us.Thanks to Suzzanne, Lauren, Tracey, and Dee for making our trip easy, comfortable, and memorable.Ella & Ty

What a fantastic team Kiwi Journeys are -- from the query call to the end farewell they everything they did was fantastic. A great put together itinerary that was clear and detail so easy to follow, to the booking of the accommodation (which was all top notch), to the welcome and then the shuttle transport around it made for a fantastic trip (even with rain at times). all the staff were fantastically friendly and helpful - but a special thank you to Lauen who made the drives and walks so much more enjoyable with lots of laughs and chat. The Wilderness trail is in extremely good order and made for a beautiful 4 days pf riding-- Great company and team i would recommend to everyone!!

We were so glad we chose this trail from the great rides" of new zealand and in particular to use the full trail package offered by Kiwi Journeys. All of the logistics were organised for us

The girls gave us good advice on where to go, and shuttled us there with our own bikes. They knew all the trails well and just as importantly, where to get coffee! They even let us lock our bikes up and charge them overnight ready for the next day. Great service!

My partner and I completed 3 of 4 sections of the Wilderness Trail on push bikes. The scenery was varied and spectacular on either side of the mountain between Kumara and Hokitika. Our guides, Suzanne and Lauren, were great hosts. Suzanne compiled a custom itinerary for us. They had experienced the trail personally and were great enthusiasts of outdoor adventures. The standard bikes were comfortable and included full water bottles and waterproof saddlebags. I highly recommend Kiwi Journeys if you are thinking of riding the Wilderness Trail.

Awesome company to deal with. Our 4 day Westcoast wilderness trail was an absolutely amazing experience. Bike hire, transfers and advise. Will definitely be back again.

From the first telephone call to walking in we felt we had made the best choice. So easy to deal with, no heavy handed tactics, you must ride regardless. The e-bikes are so great with pannier and water bottle ready to go. Trail map and away, perfect with the estimated time for a v relaxed ride and plenty of time for pics and to enjoy the scenery. So happy we booked the shuttle next day to Ross to enjoy another great ride. Lovely chat on the way down and again easy trail map and perfect lunch spot and walk at Tree Tops. All in all a great easy experience. They are all passionate NZ enthusiasts and great ambassadors for the tourism industry
