We had intended on going to boneface, but it was as booked out, so we popped in here instead. We managed to get in ahead of the rush, but they were a bit understaffed on the day and staff were open discussing not admitting more customers (tables were half empty, but most were reserved). Ordered a few drinks and meals. We were told that the coffees might take a while, but they were actually really quick and tasted good.The meals however took so long we were considering leaving, even though the place was only half full when we ordered. Sadly the meals weren’t worth the wait. Full marks for presentation, they looked good, but something was wrong with all the sauces. My apple sauce for the pork-belly was ‘sharp’ and had an odd tang. My wife’s blue cheese sauce for her cauliflower was more like a watery soup and tasted bad. Kiwis rarely complain, but this was bad enough that we asked if there was an alternative sauce since this was so horrible. No problem was the answer (great!) but when they came with the replacement, it came with a $2 surcharge?! (What!) So we declined it.This wasn’t good since the cauliflower was bland and needed something. Even the tomato sauce on the kids nuggets meal tasted weird.Thankfully the pork-belly was not too bad without the sauce and the kids ribs were tasty.Definitely some room for improvement and ways to go to compete with neighbouring restaurants, hopefully beer end of the business is good.

I reiterate everything already said here.Service is great. Food needs attention.Our table ordered a lot:Chips - portions WAY too smallSteak - GreatRibs - GoodBurgers - OkaySalt n Pepper Squid - GreatMeatballs, Sausages in platter - OkayChicken Wings - Very BlandPork Belly - so over cooked and dry it was inedible.Would I go again? Yes.Would I go for a dinner… probably not

Very disappointed in the chicken schnitzel that I ordered tonight, meal was very quick to be served maybe within a minute of ordering my dinner was served, thought it must have been precooked previously then put in microwave.The chicken tasted rubbery and processed, unfortunately I couldn't eat it as I was concerned about getting food poisoning because of the time it was ordered and served. I did take it back and the manager was going to talk to chef....... Huge improvements need to be made before we come back

Went to wildkiwi last night and what a great night with live music and great staff,they all were excellent in there service and guick with the food coming out, we were most impressed with manager kerri keeping us looked after and busy keeping the bar running well.we will be back if band on again great night for our family.

Terrible service and poor quality food (the stuff that actually arrived). Boy server was holding onto the top of someone's burger with bare hand as he walked it to table. Ordered a margherita pizza with side of fries. Pizza came out literally burnt (black) in middle and no basil on it. Chips didn't arrive so asked very young male server about them. Ate one piece of pizza which tasted terrible so asked the waitress (who looked about 15 at most) for one that wasn't burnt, and reminded her I was still waiting for chips. She came back a few minutes later and said they could give me HALF my money back! I went inside and spoke to the manager who said the same thing. I had to ask for a replacement that wasn't burnt. She finally agreed. Reminded her I was still waiting for chips. She assured me she'd make sure everything was there and cooked properly. Pizza came out a while later. So much tomato paste that I needed to scrape it off, there was at least 4 tablespoons of it on the board after scraping but at least pizza was cooked properly. Still no chips. Asked boy server again - he said he'd check. After finishing pizza almost 30 mins later I went inside and asked for a refund. Was told there had been a few muck ups which I could understand, but I had reminded 3 people, including manager, 4 times with absolutely no one apologising or doing anything about it. Friend also cancelled her order as it was taking a ridiculously long time too. Would not recommend.

Went there with a work party excellent staff good food comfortable menu. Nice and relaxed a massive selection of drinks but the staff were the highlight what a great bunch

We went for lunch around 11am today and ordered 2 steaks, pork rib and pork belly. Pork belly and pork ribs were okay. The 2 steaks were burnt we tried to eat them but gave up due to bitter taste of the burnt steaks. We informed our waitress when she asked us about our food and she mentioned that she would let the chef know. There was nothing further after that, no offer for food replacement nor offer for refund of burnt steaks. This would be our last visit to this place.
