Tried to exchange USD to NZD at Westfield Riccarton Branch but waited for 20 minutes. The lady in the counter was very impolite. Asked me to provide proof of address or bank statement which I am willing to provide but the lady was not approachable so I decided not to proceed and looked for another option that has good customer service.

Ridiculous! Waited 15 min to get served and when i was about to the teller put a sign saying she was going on break. I asked if she was going to serve people on the line first and she said that it would be too long to create a profile for me so i had to come back in 40 minutes because otherwise she wouldn't get a break. Crazy! No excuses for this little amount of tellers.

I needed Australian cash for an upcoming holiday on the Gold Coast. Of the 3 money exchanges places in the Riccarton Mall I chose Lotus because their exchange rate was the best of the three.Despite the many poor reviews posted, I found the service to be very good. Yes, it is a time consuming experience as they require photo ID and another form of ID plus a confirmation of your address which fortunately I had on on my phone in the form of my latest power bill. This is probably a regulatory requirement. They did say that next time is will be a lot quicker as they now have this information on file. I would definitely return.

The most atrocious and disgusting service I have ever received. These people need to get fired honestly. The way the speak they have no manners. If a customer walks up to them. They don’t say hi how are you. They say what do you want? They literally started talking to each other whilst they were serving us. They threw my dads card. You can put the card down nicely and politely and pass it. And they both looked like they did not want to be there and we were causing them an inconvenience. The people who work here are not doing us a favour. They are doing a job please speak professionally and respectfully just like the customer are speaking to you. My family and I went to exchange American dollars. I’ll admit my father was being indecisive and she had to count again couple of times and sort it which can be annoying so it’s fine when she told my dad can you please decide first and then tell me which is fair. But my dad asked for $10 note which he didn’t hear her mentioning she didn’t have. He asked very nicely and politely and she literally yelled at my dad saying I DON’T HAVE ANYMORE $10. This really frustrated me, like why are you yelling ? I literally had to tell her off. I said why are you being so rude ? You can speak nicely after which she did speak way calmer. But you shouldn’t have to tell that to someone working in customer service. I understand it was towards the end of probably a long day, and customer can be annoying but if you don’t have patience for it please don’t work at customer service. Please work somewhere where you don’t have to deal with customers at all. The person’s name who served us was Vandana Devi Shelvin, time she printed out the exchange rate is 5:07pm and it was on the 19th of Jan 2023. Both the woman working (the one serving us and the other lady) were rude and did not know how to speak professionally and respectfully. So the management team of Lotus either give your employees proper training on how to talk to customers politely and professionally and look like they want to be at this job or get rid of the one you have and hire better employees.

Had the most ridiculous customer service I have ever seen at Riccarton Christchurch.The woman called Alma who did the job couldn’t be more rude. I was taking my passport into my bag and she kept so rude asking for my passport what I obviously was getting. After a quickly and confusing conversation about the rate, I nicely (just as a normal person) gave to her $3.5k aud and she literally threw to me the New Zealand dollar. Also during the whole slow job, she kept a really awful mood.Can’t say about the rate as I couldn’t find other shop options. But about the service that they offer.. def don’t recommend.

Hands down the rudest service I’ve ever received. Woman behind the counter had the personality of a concrete block. Very demanding. I gave her a serve in front of another customer and she began conversing in Indian to her co worker. It was obvious she was talking about me. Will never go back and wouldn’t ever recommend anyone uses this “non” service!

What a pathetic service. Heads up to those wanting to collect their cash from Ricarton branch Chch, bring your itinerary, boarding pass, visa letter, passport, evidence of local address, yourself and be ready to guide and show them your personal information on these documents you provide because they can't read.I was also told that they can't post or paste these requirement info on their glass windows for reference because people apparently don't understand!!!!!! Can you believe this? I'm still digesting. Oh and also please be ready to tell the tellers where you would be using your own money. Phew. I received my money after 4 days of my arrival day. Good luck

This is a good exchange place and also offers special rate when the amount is high. The thing is as most Business post covid, company must be struggling to have too many staff members so yes often there is 1 person working and hence there is wait time and sometimes when its too busy staff has to somehow squeeze their lunch times. I usually call before I go so I have everything I need for due dilegence, hence saves time. A lot of people struggle to get that right and make the queue worse for others. Hope that helps :)

Poor Customer Service. Awfully Slow.Gave original Passport,why do they need visa and travel ticket. If you're in NZ you got through Immigration and customs check.Also, if you're emailing, they don't take photo of visa. Sheet displayed here doesn't say anything. Ladies took half an hour just to type it. Rude and poor attitude. They've managed to disappoint many nationalities today! Extremely disappointed. It's easier to get through Immigration.
