Often seen the sign as driven past as this cafe is just off the main road. $5 large coffee. Beautifully dusted with cinnamon. I just love when the dusting is over the saucer as well. Love the cook books to browse while I have my coffee

We arrived at 1.45pm entered and sat down hoping to have someone ask us what we would like. We sat there for 10 - 15 minutes while the young girl spent all that time making two coffees for the only other person in the café. The other lady who clearly saw us ignored us also and continued to do other things. Finally the young girl addressed us and told us that they were closing and hour early? The other reviews we read ( which is why we went there) said how wonderful the service was and that they were open until 3pm on a Sunday? I would never go back. We left totally confused and ended up at Bolton St Café. There we found great food, lovely warm service and a good price.

My friend and I came up from the Western Bay of Plenty to browse the Evermore Christian Secondhand book store, and stopped into the NZ Cafe for morning tea. Excellent long black, and next level service! We shared a piece of chocolate cake which was brought to us on separate plates and dusted with icing sugar. We both appreciated this extra touch and will be back again!

Such great friendly service. Meat pattie on the burger was nice and juicey. Only thing could improve on was the iced choc, was more of a choc tea, i like mine with crushed ice!! But food was yum

Great little suburban cafe to visit while staying in the area. Lovely staff, basic ambiance but great coffee.
