Laughing Buddha
Laughing Buddha is easily the best asian cuisine in New Plymouth. The food is fabulous, especially for those who like it spicy. The place is always packed and the ambience is lively. I’d really like to commend the wait staff and the chefs. They work really hard and it’s a miracle they manage to keep everyone fed. I love this place!

Food is STUNNING. Comes out so fast and portion sizes are absolutely amazing. The only reason I'm not rating this five stars is because they never have enough staff on front of house. The poor servers are literally running through the restaurant to try and do everything. The servers are generally amazing but the three times I've eaten here it's been the exact same which shows that it's probably a management issue and it's just so unfair on the poor servers.

The food was amazing, loved the dumplings, all 4 mains were very tasty and generous serves. The wait staff were great, really fast at taking orders and getting drinks and very friendly. A great experience all round.

We had a very enjoyable, authentic meal here. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the atmosphere and it was cool being upstairs looking down onto the street. A nice experience at a reasonable price, thanks guys.

Not like it used to be. Service was not good. No real desire to be there was the vibe I got from them. Food quality has dropped. Saucy dumplings are far from saucy now. Food was under seasoned. Atmosphere. Noisy. Cramped. I thought it may have been bad timing the first time as it was very noisy then. Nope.

Best value for money!! Fast service and the absolute best food. Dumplings are definitely AMAZING!!! But overall they are a wonderful restaurant and will definitely continue to go back.

Walked in with no booking and it did not disappoint.The set menu is great value and you definitely won't leave hungry. Quality food, fabulous service and delicious - we will be back indeed.Thanks team!

Great food & generous portions. Loved my Mapo Tofu - excellent! The staff did a really great job dealing with 2 very large groups as well as still seeing that we had a nice experience. Well done
